So with a hawks win, we are now a win and % behind brisbane who are next above us. A loss v sydney and other results going 'against' us and we could be 2 + wins locked inside the bottom 5 and if st kilda improve, its a bottom 4 spot. We need to finish bottom 4 to guarantee one of the top mids and all but assure we avoid losing it to a welsh bid.

If we play the rest of the season right and can woo a free agent like perryman or cumming, we could really add some quality to our list at years end for hopefully the new coach to work with

Hawks gone past us, they put midfielders as a priority when drafting.

And they trade/target FA well. Chol (who we were after), Ginnivan and D'Ambrosio have all been excellent pick-ups who have slotted in perfectly. Amon has also been very good for them.
