It’s been a triggering day 😂 The new coach thread on our board has been visited by quite a few ‘well-wishers” as you can imagine.

For a short term period, in that helping develop and build relationships with the young players and restore a basic level of competitiveness and competence, then, if you were looking for a senior, experienced coach then he would be suitable 🤷‍♂️

Beyond that… who knows.

Gossage was on the mark a fortnight ago in relation to Simpson going that day, but prior to that all of his intel and predictions have been a failure. And as we know, Ken does get named as a candidate whenever there is a vacancy nowadays!

The main question is would he (Ken) be able to work with/under Pyke.

Interesting times indeed.
😂😂welcome to the Crows

Name a bigger flog in the AFL....

Can think of 10 bigger flogs than him, 2 that play for the team we beat when three players short on Friday.

Duursma gets an extra high mention given the fact he's not that good at football, yet celebrates like a match winner

And who do Carlton play this week?
It's an injury to one player.

We won on Friday without Rankine, Murray for three quarters and Dawson for most of the last quarter, Port won three games without Rozee (including in Geelong), and Melbourne beat Port without May.

If Carlton can't win without him, they don't deserve to make finals.

A few rumours over West that Coke Can Hinkley might be a go for the top job their.... You heard that Shuestar13 ?

Sure have lol. A rumour by someone with not a great track record… but who knows. It does appear to be another case of vacant job = super coach Ken!
But at this point in time, happy for someone to come in and bring a basic level of competency and competitiveness each week if I’m honest.

I really think Port erred in making Rozee and Butters C and VC. Too young, not enough experience to be good leaders for this team. Port have had poor on field leadership for a few years and this is no better
Maybe they’ll end up like the Melbourne duo, nobodies.

Trengove was on track to being an absolute gun too. Made captain of a struggling club in his third season which distracted him from further developing his game, and then did a navicular injury which he never recovered from.

If there is ever a time that the AFL should be using the 'potential to cause injury', it was Hipwood's tunnelling. Could literally cause someone to become paraplegic. And he gets off with a fine.

But McAdam hit someone really hard front on, and that is apparently worth 3 weeks suspension.

And we continue to watch🤷
