It was actually a great game to watch, and I really enjoyed the last quarter, it was tough, contested and desperation from both teams.

100%. The AFL does not trust non-Vic games to pull ratings or deliver good viewing in the Friday night time slot.

You only need to look back to when they FINALLY gave us a Friday night Showdown. But also decided to bury it on Pay TV so that everyone else could watch another Victorian snoozefest.

It's not like that Showdown was decided by an after the siren kick for the first time ever and will go down as one of the best.
