AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Hopefully WC and Freo get to play Norf twice next year.
Surely a club can't sell a home game to a club then expect that guarantees they will only play that side once??
Yes my Cousin use to play for them and his wife and one of his daughters support North even though his father in-law is an Essendon premiership player and AFL life member. His eldest daughter supports Grandad's team in Essendon.... Not much better to be fair.Does anyone genuinely know a North supporter?
I would be happy for North to move West and be the 3rd WA team. The state can support it from a population and importantly, a corporate support point of view. It's time for North to hand back their AFL licence. Tassie come in to replace North.
Tassie get a pick of 12 North Players as their core start up and 5 players from other AFL clubs and the rest of North's players can go anywhere they want like delisted free agents
Draft and trade sanctions please!!! Extended year Soft cap reduction for Geelong please!!
Actually punish Geelong the club in some way
They won’t be flying to WA four times.
Instead, they get extra away games against other Melbourne clubs and nominate them for ‘make up’ games for their members that can attend for free.
Honestly it’s not a bad gig. ‘Home’ games aren’t really home games in Vic so that means away games aren’t really away, or so we keep hearing when the big clubs player 17 games in their own state.
This to me should be their future. Promote themselves as Western Victoria, based mainly in Ballarat.Bulldogs have sold Ballarat home games.
Any Melbourne clubs complaining about WC getting to play an away game in their home city?
Yes, yes it has. It's been that way for a LONG time now.
Not completely. These 2 games are half of North’s Tassie gamesAren’t they pulling north out of Tassie, hence selling this game?
I think they are slowly pulling out and needing to find the equivalent money. Not completely. These 2 games are half of North’s Tassie games
Does anyone genuinely know a North supporter?
And it’s the easy way to pick which teams to cut.No serious club would want to sell away their success but if a club wants to, let them
I meant more 'that's an advantage for West Coast and Freo!' when it's business as usual for every Melb club. No, because they won’t have to travel there.
