Again against North which was also their away game, did you see the Brisbane games against the Bulldogs and Port Power away.....??

Yeah I did - that was the whole point of the discussion. Port demolished Brisbane in Round 1. People then said "Yeah but Brisbane can't travel". I then cited examples contrary to that. And now people are still saying Brisbane can't travel. Perhaps Port were too good in Round 1?

🤷

Teams that can't travel don't win Semi Finals away from home against the premiers.

I was talking about this year. So they smashed a bottom 4 team after the 1st quarter who was also playing away but got smashed by middle teams in their other away games this year, what does that tell you?

It tells me that making claims like "they can't travel" based on three matches is pointless.
For a supposed top 4 and not just losing but getting easily beaten in all their games against middle teams (until today against a bottom 4 team who held them until the 1st quarter and was also playing away) tell me they can't travel. Sure they might improve this season but right now they can't travel, that's my point.

It is looking like a really even season where an injury or two to key players could make the difference between being a contender or not.

Not overly fussed on port, sydney were down 2 kpp's and missed a swag of opportunities. Dogs came here minus one of their star on ballers on very wet night slog and port got up late...good wins but not barnstorming. Collingwood belted them and we powered..pardon the pun away from them at the end

They may make finals but its very hard to see them winning the whole thing at this stage

Good summary.

If we were to play them again next week, I would be all over us. Same if they were on the road against Melbourne, Collingwood, Carlton or Brisbane.

The whole save Ken schtick is funny until Port are 8-2 and firmly in the top 4.

They’re through the hard part of their draw 3-2. It’s down hill skiing from here.

Nah, it's still funny then because Hinkley is saved at that point for another couple of years, and Port supporters are back in hell for another 2-3 years.

It stops being funny when they break through the glass ceiling and make a grand final. That said, winning games that matter is not something in Hinkley ball DNA.

They kicked 22.20 today. Not the best example of their inability to travel.

They can travel against weaker sides and today the Kangaroos were witches hats after quarter time.

North gave up over 110 points from turnovers - that is giving the ball directly back to the opposition. It was literally embarrassing to watch on tv.

Brisbane are flakey and away from home, every team bar Hawks, West Coast and Gold Coast (and Kangaroos) are a chance against them.

Bet the Bulldogs don't play this bad in Ballarat
I will preface this as yes the bulldogs faded in the last which allowed Port to get over the top.

However, the standard of umpiring and the sheer want to gift home ground decisions by an incompetent umpiring cohort is a continued embarrassment to the AFL. Port Adelaide for some reason seem to be gifted more home ground free kicks than any side in history. Why the AFL are scared of the supporters of one of the biggest mediocre clubs in the AFL is beyond me.
But Port are bottom of the free kick discrepancy table. Biggest difference between frees for and against. They’re well in the minus column.

I know the Crows had some decent flogging’s in the SANFL when the injury list was bad a few years ago but jeez nothing like this from the poor WAFL Eagles…

Annoying that this is pretty much one of the main reasons the National reserve league hasn’t been/won’t be brought in
Why won’t it be?
