I'll go against the narrative here. These numbers aren't really surprising. Tex does a lot of wrestling/pushing out in the marking contests and often attempts too much at ground level leading to HTBs. Curnow mainly goes right up at the ball with his arms and is a bit faster at ground level. He wins a lot more 1 on 1s.Tex: 11 frees for, 25 against
Curnow: 29 frees for, 11 against.
