Ratugolea is nowhere near as shit as this board says. Reckon he's a decent enough player we could probably do with the way our defenders keep dropping like flies.

Sadly, I have to agree. I can only hope he is on a minimum contract and is ready to play a fair bit in the SANFL. I'd have preferred an extra vacant list spot though.

Heaps of WA top end talent in the upcoming draft Top 20 / Top 30 however you slice it.
Both clubs need fresh local talent for rebuilding.

West Coast have a single pick in the 1st round (#1) and then pick #23 in the second round
Freo don't have any picks until #34

Do they understand how this works?

I think Port will get three of their deals done and miss out on Soldo. Richmond will hold out on that deal.

Duursma is a good example how players don't always improve. Some players best football is in the first few years in the system.

To give away a pick 18 in a trade after five years in the system in exchange for a average defender shows they really don't rate him.

whereas we hold onto the average as if they're key pieces of our next flag push.
