Good win in the end by the Bulldogs over Port Power. I enjoyed hearing their song playing over the loud speaker at Alberton - sung by women. I wish the Crows would get a female version of their song. It sounded really good.

Geelong get over Freo 4.3 to 0.1, played in Perth  They knocked off Richmond last week too who just gave us an almighty scare. Are they good this season?
Didn't expansion/injuries decimate Freo?

Honestly not expecting much from them this year......

I wouldn’t mind this to be honest, though it was out of necessity for the Dogs given the mens version is ‘Sons of the West’.

Sydney actually changed the wording of their club song from ‘While her loyal sons are marching onwards to victory’ to ‘While our loyal Swans are marching onwards to victory’ this season to avoid a similar situation.

The way this season has gone so far I wonder how long it will be before zones get brought up in the media again.

Brisbane 82 - 9 Suns
Giants 65 - 18 Swans

Makes for ugly reading. Hard to build crosstown rivalries out of scorelines like that.

Pretty good chance we're going to see a few smashings tomorrow as well. Melbourne vs St Kilda could get ugly, Richmond vs Hawthorn could get ugly, even Carlton vs Power has the potential to get ugly, especially with Houghton now out injured. At least Eagles vs Essendon should be close.

Port Power not participating in Indigenous Round? Not wearing an Indigenous jumper?

Possibly waiting for their home game? It lasts for two rounds.

Also, a draw in the Port-Carlton game! They kicked 4.1 in the second quarter and 0.2 for the other three combined.
Oh ok, I knew Sir Douglas Nichols round had been extended to 2 rounds, didnt realise the same had happened in AFLW

Hopefully this will be similar to the scoreline of when Crows play Port.

Gee Carlton spudding it up this season. Escape with a 1 point win over Essendon and could only draw against Port.

Mind you they play Freo next week.

Melbourne v Brisbane next week will be one of the matches of the season. Pity it’ll clash with the SANFL GF

What has happened to Freo. I thought they were supposed to be good.

Awful leg injury to a Bulldogs player in the Port Power/Bulldogs game. Play stopped 1.30 minutes before half time, for almost half an hour. Player was taken to hospital in an ambulance. She looked to be in agony when it happened.

Similar to Nathan Brown's leg injury. Player coming over the top and landing across the shin. End result: broken tibia and fibula :(

If Brisbane put Melbourne to the sword I can see them having an undefeated season. AFLW will be so beyond pissed that an interstate club is gonna win it again.

Port’s first win against what is probably the worst side in the short history of the AFLW. As predicted Hannah Ewings is a star and most of the talent in the Dowrick family certainly went to Port’s Abbey, WA clubs idiots for ignoring her for 2 drafts.

Also as predicted NSW going to be a problem for this competition for many years, not enough talent even for one team in that State let alone two, too much competition for talented athletes in the State would not be helping either.

I can't see GWS or Sydney being even remotely successful until the competition becomes full-time and they scrap the state-based drafts.
