Bulldogs get 21 from Brisbane as part of the Dunkley trade if it happens. That goes to Freo for Lobb and then to Hawthorn for O’Meara with something going back for Meek

I think it will work exceptionally well - having a significant impact at the other end of the ground.


Both Grand Finalists this year utilised the ruck moving post-stoppage into defence to free up an intercepting spare.


Can see Gawn playing a lot more behind the ball next year, with Grundy taking a greater ruck role across the ground.

Doing so could also free up H.Petty to shift forward from defence.

Agreed. English would have been well suited to this role for us. Has the engine to push down and back up the ground and looks very comfortable floating behind the ball and even taking intercepts for himself. Hopefully it is still on the cards in when he's a FA in a few years time.

The trade overall was 2018 WCE 1st + 50 for 2018 GC 2nd, 21, 26 and 37.

With the names & subsequent trades, it became:
O'Halloran (GWS) + Crossley for Rowbottom (Syd), Allen, Ryan, Petruccelle
