I'll take one Albanian & one Serbian flag, or one Armenian flag & Azerbaijani flag, or one Russian flag and one Ukraine flag.

Either ban them all or ban none. Can't pick and choose.
I don't really understand this sentiment. Of course they can pick and choose. In fact they should. Flags in support of players from that nation seem fine. Sheezle and the Israeli flag on that front is borderline.

Outside of that you have to ask what the messaging is. If someone thinks it's amusing to bring a Russian or Taiwan or Ukranian flag in to stir up trouble, that shouldn't be allowed. The idea that it's some sort of trap that they'd have to allow it if they allow others is only because the AFL can't get any policy straight.

If they were smart they'd just say flags in support of a players nationality are fine and outside of that will be considered on a case by case basis.

Stick to soccer if you want that stuff.

Eventually the AFL announced just that - flags representing a players heritage will be allowed

Rare common sense decision from them

Dare I say it... the cats look old and slow. They did last week too.
They may look old and slow but they still look a class above us.

If we were playing them next week would you expect us...
1. to win?
2. to be competitive but lose a close one?
3. to lose?
4. to lose badly?

Geelong will bounce back but just let us enjoy hopefully back to back losses doesn’t happen often.

There was a fair bit of love on here for Ollie Hollands predraft from people who knew what they were talking about

Had a good game tonight

So think anyone would be upset with my picks of Hollands and Cowan.

Still don't think Binns is an AFL players arseh*le but we'll see.

Hopefully Lemmey can come over the next 3 years and not waste his enormous potential.

I think the knock on Cowan was his kicking if I recall which seems to be on the money to an extent

Like the look of him though as an attacking half back

His kicking before the start of last year was talked up as best in draft but the truth is whilst he has great depth and penetration on it, it tends to go to an area rather than onto the tit of the leading player. Great strength and evasive skills for his age and with a bit of run and carry can be a very damaging HB but I wouldnt want him being the one tasked with kick in duties particularly in the short term, his short kicks can be a little dinky / not travel as quickly.

I remember in 2021(?) they were shaky early and then we played them and they beat us by 90+ points, and we had a better team back then 😅

Geelong 0-2 trying to defend a premiership. Makes for an interesting season already.

Hawkins shouldn't be out there - looks months away from match condition.

I wouldn't write the Cats off yet though - once their injured defence returns, Bruhn and Bowes become fully integrated and Hawkins gets running they will be a serious challenger again later this year.
