Ridiculous carry on from the Pies here. Scraped through by a point after a fortnight off playing on their home deck in front of 90k+ feral fans.

Hope the Giants can bottle the finish to this season and give it a red hot crack next season
If I was GWS, I'd be moving heaven and earth to get a power forward to partner Hogan.

Sheeeess I thought the Pies got very well looked after by the Ump, with the non calls against the Pies players.

Was a great game and cracking finish.

I don't give a flying* who wins it now, normally I would be rooting for the Inter State Team but this Brisbane Unit has was too many campaigners in their team, for me to get behind them.

This is the best finals series I've ever see. Nearly every match has been crazy good.
If you like close games then yes, but overall the standard of footy across the league in general has been way lower than previous years in my opinion

My mate has the same attitude with Brissy. I guess I overlook the Hipwoods and Zorkos and back the Neales and Andrews.

Also, stuff the VFL. Since 2006, there have only been 2 non Vic premiers (us and Sydney), which is an absolute disgrace considering how many GF have featured a non Vic team.

Yep -this was the only final where I thought both teams went 100% without doing too much stupid stuff. Melbourne and Port were woeful this off season which ruined those finals. Saints and Sydney shouldn't have even turned up.

I suspect Lions will absolute decimate the blues.

Yep, that Collingwood Melbourne final was an atrocious standard for 1st v 4th and only interesting cause the margin was close.

Tonight's game, however, was very good and several rungs above that one.

GWS unlucky but they gave it a genuine crack

Lot to like about the way they play

Go Brisbane because I don’t think I can get through a week of vics self-flagellating over a Carlton v Collingwood GF.

The first week of the finals was well below average but since then has been very good outside of goalkicking

Thought Hogan had one of the best 1 goal games by a key forward in a prelim. Did a lot of work up the ground that doesn’t go on the stat sheet, unlike a cheap kick in the back pocket like some people

Kinda want it to be Carlton v Collingwood as the fallout between winners and losers should be epically entertaining, so much so that the winner doesn't really matter for everyone else. It's kind of what we missed in 2019 when GWS made the GF.

Brisbane v Collingwood only works if Brisbane win, but even then I hate Chris Fagan and don't care for Brisbane at all. But them winning would be great to just shitpost against Collingwood fans for the months. But if Collingwood win then they'll all be insufferable campaigners for years led by chief campaigner Eddie Mccampaignerface. The world is only a better place if they lose grand finals.

I don't care that much, but Carlton would be the preference.
The most unheralded team with their first time in the finals for 10 years.
Also don't want to the Pies or the Lions to win the flag.

Be careful what you wish for. Very careful

You haven't had much experience with Carlton fans I presume.

Unfortunately for the Giants they left there run too late in the season and even then they still nearly won against all odds.

If they had of started the year like they finished would have finished top 2 and won the flag. Onus on them now to do what the Pies have done this year.
