I look forward to Kane Cornes asking Jason Horne Francis to lift his training standards so he can properly impact like Walsh did in that last quarter.

Port Adelaide once again struggling on the big stage, at home. They really have no excuses.
Was almost the most predictable result them losing this week. Carlton weren’t going to go into their shells like Hawthorn did a fortnight ago.

Carlton absolutely fantastic.
You have to be basically a 10 goal better side to win in Adelaide - to beat the oppo + umpires.
The umpiring as usual was farcical.
The number of HTN not paid in Carlton's favour were too many to count.

Carlton have impressed me immensely this year. Port are the ultimate fraudsters. If they somehow finish in the 8 or top 4 they'll be gone in straight sets cos they can't beat anyone around them.

Port Adelaide hit their bye with 8 wins and 4 losses
• Played at Adelaide oval 8 times
• Five of their 8 wins have been against the bottom 5 teams
• Have played 5 of the current top 8 with wins over Essendon at home by a big margin and Geelong away which have comfortably be their best 2 games. Lost the other three, two of them by 6+ goals
• Got out of jail against both Fremantle and Hawthorn
• Somehow play just 4 more games against current top 8 sides with their only double ups being Carlton and Melbourne
• Still have return matches against Richmond and St Kilda. Also Fremantle and Adelaide
Seriously cushy draw for a side that finished last H&A season in the top 4 that they’ve cashed in on so far against bottom sides

It'll be glorious
I'm really hoping for a top 4 finish for Essendon on the back of the most favourble draw possible. Reckon higher than even odds they'd go out in straight sets and maintain their no wins in a final streak!

I reckon they get found out come finals time, particularly if they don't get the second chance.
For mine they are a flakey and inconsistent team, that will wilt in the heat of the cut throat nature of finals, against the better teams.
I also hate the *ing flogs.
