"The AFL hasn't provided evidence..."

Didnt know they needed to. The AFL tried to say there was nothing to see here and the WADA wasn't happy with that response and took them to the CAS. Thats where the evidence was seen and they decided it was highly likely they had taken it.

What a massive sob story that article is.

but...and hear me out...if him being re-instated as the Brownlow medalist of that year and everyone pretends he wasn't part of a team wide doping regime...if we can somehow get a signed agreement that gets him off the air so we don't have to listen to him anymore I'm all for it.

He won Essendon's BnF in 2009-10? So what? Scott Selwood has a club BnF but rightly never got near a Brownlow. Watson was a decent player. But the best season he had happened to be the one that he was given performance enhancing drugs. Maybe he'd have won without them, but that hasn't excused any other chemically-assisted victory in history. Pull your head in, Sheahan. No one cares that you're mates with his dad.

That Sheahan article is something else.
Sure let's devalue the already mid centered award by allowing drug cheats to win them.
Has he been getting into willies stash?

Didn't mcstay hurt his knee in the prelim? Why are we finding out about an ACL 3 months later?
Collingwood have recruited our old medical team apparently

Don’t care who it is or who they play for, it’s always sad to see or hear of a player doing an ACL

Such a shit of an injury that can be incurred through the most innocuous of actions

Always and forever * Essendon. That cheating stain of a club should have been wound up, they got off lightly.

Many other sporting clubs get more severe sanctions such as relegation, bans for multiple years and multi million dollar fines. A year off for 30 players, effectively a points deduction for one year by being thrown out of post season, and losing a couple of good draft picks for one year is nothing.

I have a few crows supporting people in my sphere and I have never heard that narrative.

Some quotes, just this year from the Crows board
I was at that game

I remember at the time wondering what had happened at half time.

Nothing, outside a proven negative test, will ever convince me that he didn't take drugs at half time.

the 2006 Flag should always have many ***** next to it. So many Weagles players on drugs then and highly regarded footy sources (Mick Malthouse article at the time) explained the performance enhancing benefit of some of them. Like Cousins 'super human' running efforts in the 2nd half of the prelim

You shouldn't be posting on this board. I still haven't forgiven you for unleashing Ben Cousins on us in the 2006 prelim final. I saw his pupils in the warm and they weren't the same pupils he was wearing at the start of the 3rd quarter.

He was a meth addict first and foremost so the rumour is he was on that. He put in a super human second half and ran rings around van berlo who was known for his endurance.

Some say it’s totally implausible. I disagree.

Speaking of West Coast and drugs, what's the go with the rumour that Ben Cousins did a line or two at half time in the 2006 prelim?

I've never used cocaine, but I've been told by some that it can make you feel like Superman on the sporting field, and told by others that the high is so short and the come-down so severe that it would not help performance overall.

That 2006 prelim really did a number on a few Crows supporters

Carlton copped more for cheating the cap.

Good mate of mine is a mad Crow and yeah they definitely like to blame Cousins for the 2006 loss citing drug use.
For them it’s a fact not a matter of did he or didn’t he. No thought given to the fact he was a super star and he rose to the occasion….
