It feels to me like they are where we were in 06. A star mid clearly has drug issues that are being covered up (Oliver vs Cousins), a disgruntled ex employee has been calling it out for years (Bartlett vs Judge) and now other players are getting sprung, revealing a widespread problem (Kerr vs Smith).
A multiple AA ruckman (Gawn, Cox), a dickhead key backman (May/Hunter), an unco FF that is quickly out of favour (Brown/Lynch), HF with a bird reference name (Sparrow/Chick).

Then there's Jackson who isn't Judd but he went home.

You’ve heard of ‘Bazball’ and ‘Angeball’.

Now, say hello and welcome to ‘Northball’ – a speedy, direct gamestyle North Melbourne hopes will not only excite supporters, but lead to more wins.

North (just like England) could be top of the moral ladder this season.

Watched their practice match, Pies didn't even get out of first gear.
North couldn't hit the side of a barn their kicking was that bad.
if it's anything like the Poms at the moment it'll be all flash and no substance.

Great that the VFL media is trying to give them a boost after one practice match 🙄

But that being said… if they can’t improve this year then there should be serious questions asked. You’d expect they will score more, but whether they can hold teams to reasonable enough scores against with a weak defence is another story.

Angus Brayshaw has hung the boots up.

Angus Brayshaw has hung the boots up.

Was expected, with his previous concussion issues and lingering effects after the Maynard smother attempt it was only going to go one way unfortunately.

Sad to have to hang up the boots at 28, but at least he got a premiership for his time in the AFL.
