Rightly so. They started the second quarter much better but still ended up being strangled. Still about a 5 goal difference.Suns have 69 less disposals than Sydney yet Sydney hace 10 more tackles. Fair to say dew will give them a bake at qt.

Luke Darcy shouldn't commentate on his sons games
Just haven’t turned up tonight can say the same about the lions. Suns base their whole game on pressure which requires intensity. If they don’t bring it, they look ordinary very quickly.Rightly so. Sydney showing them what a well coached side looks like. How about those Suns?
Coached too well, it seems.

On field, they're still garbage despite a plethora of talent.Gold Coast should re-sign Dew because stability.
It is important to be stable. If you have horses it can be important to have a stable.Gold Coast should re-sign Dew because stability.
That part was more about the future and keeping the better young blokes at the club this time around. Not totally their fault either. Both the Suns and GWS have run into issues with having too many first round picks on their list and having to fork out overs. I think their recent money ball type gains have been effective for them and the cap squeeze is almost back under control. On field, they're still garbage despite a plethora of talent.
Off field, they're giving up pick 7 and a former pick 10 for nothing in a salary dump.
I think a few Suns players are going to wake up and smell the roses in the next couple years.
Don't mind them losing Bowes himself despite how talented he is and how misused he was at GC. But pick 7 on top of that would make even Ned Guy wince. That part was more about the future and keeping the better young blokes at the club this time around. Not totally their fault either. Still there list management team is the worst in the afl. Giving out 4 year deals to players like Rory Atkins and Ben long, yet finding a way to walk bowes out the door with pick 7, horrific list management that would’ve also put a dint of trust between players and management as bowes was a well liked team mate. Deadset they should’ve opened the check book for Rankine and signed him before Adelaide really got in his ear, one of the few x-factor players they had that could win a game of his own boot and actually make people on the gc want to come and watch. Not sure it will have much of a effect on current players. It was more about fixing up some list issues to keep the current core group. From all reports they have stopped losing the players they want to keep. That is what I hear from the recruiting side of things anyway.Don't mind them losing Bowes himself despite how talented he is and how misused he was at GC. Other players at the Suns who genuinely want the club to succeed would be disappointed with that outcome. If I were a player, it could only cast further doubt over my belief in the club/management.
I actually thought they made a mistake by drafting Rankine and Lukosius as there was always going to be a $700k offer coming for them . My thought at the time was take Max and Ben and 1 of Rankine or Rozee but it is easy to say that from the side lines. I am not saying the list management has been great but they have had a serious issue with having to dish out longer contracts worth more coin because of the number of top 40 picks on the list.Still there list management team is the worst in the afl. It has been way more complicated than any other team besides GWS has had to deal with .
Ben Long and Rory Atkins are not an issue as they are not on inflated deals money wise. As for Rankine I know you rate him as an A grade player. I still think the Crows paid at least $200k overs based on his output so far and his consistency . He may well prove to be a $800k player at some stage but he has not yet and that has been the issue fir the GC.
Lukosius wasn’t supposed to be a flanker though. He was a super mobile key forward mostly as a junior.Agree with this. I have really query the style of player. A flanker and a small forward when you're rebuilding?

I understand why they are playing him back….great distributor…..but he’s got 35 goals in him this year I reckon. Not sure North are good enough to pass that up.Sheezel is a jet. And he’s a better forward
Twice!Had glandular fever didn't he?
Takes a bit of time to get over
It kinda is still the problem paying list clogging footballers 4-500k a year eats up an extra salary cap room that could be used to pay the star s or have salary cap room in general. I agree with you on luko, but at the same time I don’t think he’s developed in the player they hoped for. They drafted him hoping he would become a genuine 3rd tall roamingI actually thought they made a mistake by drafting Rankine and Lukosius as there was always going to be a $700k offer coming for them .
