Sorry but it's a league.
It's nitpicky but I need to correct this.

Australian Football is most preferred.
Look you’re right but they wore me down.

Growing up in Qld in the 80s and having kids at school say “do you play VFL?”. No buddy, I’m playing under 7s junior footy in Brisbane. Dermie’s not about to run through our huddle.

Out of Wright, Scrimshaw, Brodie, Ah Chee and Bowes, who've really hurt the Suns?

Ah Chee would have to be the least damaging of the 5.
Scrimshaw's not fit enough to tie Birchall's shoelaces and is a bit flaky.
Bowes it's too early to call.
Brodie might be one but it's too early to say either way.
Wright's probably the only one who'd hurt the Suns but Ben King, Levi Casboult and Mabior Chol are adequate replacements.

On the last point, King's emerged through the ashes of Wright, Lynch and Dixon.

Probably the biggest sore spot for the Suns is Steven May though Sam Collins is an able replacement.

If I can keep going, having a midfield built around Rowell, Anderson and Miller has happened before our eyes.

At the moment, the biggest question is this.
Will Jack Lukosius ever be settled in one spot?

It's not a defence of Dew to say it doesn't matter that they burned a crop of kids but then got a better crop.

The mark of a good coach is getting the most out of the talent at his disposal. He seems to have the same attitude toward improving people that he has to himself. I've had coaches like him before.

The path they have chosen has consigned GC to at least 3 more years of irrelevance.

How about a bit of Sydney's it's time to be good because being bad doesn't suit?

Why has Dew been trusted with this better crop? Because he is there (and Dean Solomon was booted to ensure there wasn't someone else the players like)?

There is nothing GC has done at any time under Dew that suggests he is more than an average coach who got a gig because he was with a successful organisation.

Who is the more over rated football ?

Luke Jackson or Shai Bolton?

People acting like Bolton is at AA level need to go back and watch his first two weeks of football. Especially last week, he had an opportunity to take control of the game in the last and burnt it, another dominating 14 possessions yesterday really cementing himself now.

Jackson I understand is on potential but geez he looks a LONG way off it.
Well Bolton is aa level
He made it last year.
at the same time he try’s way too hard to play millionaire football when sometimes you just have to do the basics.
Jackson is 3 years younger, and needs to be solo ruck. Have no idea why freo paid him so much and gave up so much to get him when they have Darcy. Unless they think darcy will be out the door in the next 2 years. Meek looked better for hawks last week than Jackson did last night.

BrunoV has Solomon found a role elsewhere after being linked to us?
Solomon is so overrated. His record and the fact he's never gotten a gig even at Reserves level speaks volumes.

seen a couple of St.Kilda supporters try to bait Essendon about not drafting him. Not only is it daft because there was 4 players taken between Tsatas and Pattias but Phillips seems more fwd than midfielder and as you eloquently put it, kicking looks s**t
Mackenzie, tsatas, clark, humphrey

All picks i had before phillipou.
More flankers is not our answer.

I thought live, but couldn't hear clearl, that siren went first. However replay shows it went out first then siren.
The intention to kick it out was formed before the siren. I thought it should have been a free kick but also thought that Longmuir's comments right and gracious. If Freo had been given kick they would have "stolen" result.

It’s not just people going, which happens to all clubs. It’s how little they got back.

The Bowes one is nuts on any level. Makes no sense.

Wright was a top ten pick on one who is now our reigning leading goal kicker and B&F. In between? The suns and pick 73 or whatever it was.

For all 3 of bowes, brodie and Wright, it wss about the salary dump they needed to make, rather than the quality of player they gave up.
All 3 identified as surplus to cap needs

Its a shame we werent there to take advantage on all 3 as brodie, pick 19, bowes and pick 7 on top of wright - all for the cost of a handful of later picks - would have set us up perfectly moving forward

For the suns though, its more paying for the sins of the past. Ideally they're now in a position that is less an anchor around their neck

The salary dump is part truth, part myth. Wright for example wasn’t played for a whole year. They simply didn’t see him as a quality player and therefore let him waltz for nothing. If they recognized and valued what they had (even if he was behind their emerging talls) he would have got games and been worth something.

They may have needed to dump Bowes but they almost certainly could have done that without throwing pick 7 in.

The thing that pisses me off is that they have had so many concessions they now feel free to not even bother extracting trade value. As though if they fail again they will be bailed out so all is ok. Is the premise that draft picks don’t matter to them anymore because no one stays anyway?

You don’t move on from amateur hour by doing more amateur crap. It just extends the sins of the past.

Just thought I'd check in. No doubt you'll bob up when he has another stellar game. 😘
Like what you’re doing now ?
