That would have been so annoying to witness at the stadium.
You don't get to hear the umpires so you would have seen a free and 50 paid for no apparent reason to basically end the game.
And even if you found what it was for, you probably don't know that to 50m is automatic so you're still pissed off.

Wouldn't have been a fun one for the ground security

and out of interest; does anyone know whether the interchange count is a manual process, or do they take the data from the trackers in the jumpers?

Maybe they can use some soft cap to buy an abacus or a Casio calculator watch.

The i/c steward pricks would have been there waiting for the 76th interchange - busting to pay a pretty irrelevant free kick!
Finally, the day has come; Finally some relevance!
Why blame people for doing what their actual job is?

why are geelong not being referred to by their indigenous name?

I think only Melbourne (Naarm), Port (Yartapuulti) and Freo (Walyalup) actually technically changed their names for the round. The other clubs are still going by their usual name
All that and “Geelong” is technically derived from the Wathawurrung word anyway, sometimes transcribed as “Djilang” or “Djalang”.

Serious question here re the racism review. Why are so many being critical of Hawthorn's handling of the issue? They identified a (big) potential issue or became aware of it and used an appropriate internal resource to speak to the apparent victims and families to understand it further. They have said it was more of a welfare check than an investigation. And on conducting interviews with those parties, they then alerted the AFL (who turned it into a clusterf@#$). Hawks didnt speak to the former coaches (which was probably hard for them to be able to do and they presumably wouldnt have said much anyway).

You now have people saying they through Clarkson under a bus etc. What were they supposed to do? And whilst Kennett or some other insider probably leaked it to the press, that doesnt really change the nature of what they did or the report itself.

Yep.
Sort of like the collingwood review, but there was stuff that was alleged that goes beyond racism and crosses into some pretty serious human rights abuses.

The media, like our saga, really should have stayed out of it until the investigation completed.

Given the nature of the accusations as well, i dont think you can just have it go away. Maybe thats me, but the two allegations around the abortion and changing the sim card/living arrangements of a person cross a line.
I think they need to be addressed.

Coaches responses to the allegations were not sought by Hawthorn before the club signed off on the recommendations even though they knew these were very serious allegations. AFL knew about before it was leaked to ABC. And why would you hire an investigator who had a day job? Should’ve hired an ex judge.

Dragged this out for the families and all involved.

At some point, fed govt should step in and direct the afl to stop trying to run its own investigations.
Bungled this, doping and to an extent the do better report too.
