How does that idiot have the reputation he does?

Botched contracts for a salary cap increase that never happened, Docklands over the G, no real post Sheedy succession plan.
for me it's what he's done at Melbourne - which is closer to where we're at now than the Dons that probably needed to hit this point back when Sheedy was coach.

Which begs the question, why did the AFL appoint him at Melbourne?

Sometimes I wonder whether he was an AFL plant at Essendon to get 1 of the big 4 to Docklands. Incompetence for someone favoured by the AFL is hardly unusual.

After all, Carlton is the other member and it ended up at Docklands in a totally above board, arms length deal with its president who also happened to be CEO of the stadium.

I thought Adam Kingsley was impressive in his press conference, yesterday. Though Dave Matthews makes my ears bleed every time he opens his big mouth.

Its not a bad list to pick up.
And some nice picks to boot with taranto and possibly hopper out
I think their list is really top heavy when it comes to salary cap, which is why they're going to lose Taranto, Hopper etc and they'll lose more young guns because they're stuck paying certain people way too much money.

They also have imo the worst list manager in the league when you ignore Dodo.

Wouldn't have had either May or Stewart near that team. May's off field antics derailed his team for the better part of 6 weeks and Stewart laid the dirtiest bump the game has seen in a few years. Both should have some reputational damage based on contributions to football for the year.

May was still the best full back for the year without a doubt. Like that's all that really matters.

Sam Taylor for me, smashes him in intercepts, spoils, pressure acts.

May gets an easy ride by the domination of their midfield and defensive setup, he barely gets tested. 90% of his one on ones would be pressured high balls. His stats are nice but he's playing a different sport to most key defenders.

Anyone else think that Collingwood are a huge chance to upset Geelong? I have a feeling they will.
Feels like all the pressure is on Cats with their poor recent finals record. Whatever Pies do from here is a bonus as not expected

It feels alot like 2017 when they finished higher than tiges but played them at the G week one.
Main difference is I think cats have as much momentum going into finals this time and I dont think the pies are as well drilled as the 2017 tigers.

The top three sides in 2017 were all very close in wins. This year Geelong are two games clear of anyone including Collingwood and their percentage is almost 40% better.

Not saying the Pies can’t win, but Geelong are by some margin the best side. They’d be most wary of Melbourne, Sydney and I reckon Richmond.
