I was just thinking the same. I would hope we have the more talented list though. I think their best players are older as well... maybe I am deluding myself in the hopes of them being average for a long time.

Sydney are a whole other problem. They have a core and academy that will see them be top six for another decade. Scary.
Their list profile is a bit different to ours where they have a mature core in the 26-30 bracket, backed by a few kids coming through underneath them where as we have like 4-5 over the age of 29 with close to nothing in the 25-29 bracket and a stupid amount of talent under 25. I think we are better positioned for long term success but they are annoyingly playing good footy and look like they'll be a problem for a few years

There is a lot of us in how the Hawks play. I would really rather Hawks were irrelevant for another 10 years please
It would suck to become contenders again and have to come up against them with all their inherent advantages, like guaranteed GF home ground advantage and umpires in their pockets.

We can only hope Stevic and Nicholls will be retiring soon to hopefully level the playing field somewhat.

He's supposedly the same height as Amiss but he looks taller to me
Strange isn't it. Perhaps it is because Amiss needs some weight on but he doesn't look massive to me.

Now kicking wise - has Logan got a penetrating kick? He seems to kikc it nicely but I haven't seen anything that looks massive. Amiss has a very easy style. Seems to get 50m easy but not sure if he is a massive kick.

I wouldn't mind it... we can beat them twice on the G. The umpire thing would be my only concern.

The inconsistency of play on calls around the ground is frustrating. It is happening constantly in this game. Cripps could wander as much as he liked against us, yet if one of ours looked to the left or right it was called play on.

We are going to have to instruct our guys to get back off the mark at least five steps as quickly as possible. We have had quite a few close calls at CHB the last couple of games.

I will say it again... this Sydney team is very good.

Mills and Heeney are top shelf talent. They have a strong spine and excellent runners.
Maybe, Hawks stopped to a walk. Sydney likely in group 3.

Group 1, Melbourne

Group 2, Geelong, Brisbane

Is Freo Group 2 or 3? We find out this coming weekend.

I'd have Sydney in group 2, dont think Geelong finish top 4, or, if they do, they'll scrape into 4th.

Melbourne -> daylight - > Sydney/Brisbane
