Lachie very accomplished media performer. Never broke focus with camera, spoke very well. I wouldn’t mind him in the media when his football career is done.

He’s so boring. It would take 20 seconds of his voice to put me to sleep at any point in the day. No intonation, he just won an amazing game and he’s as boring as bat shit.

Ordinary 1st half but cracking 2nd half to continue this great finals series.

How pissweak are Melbourne supporters? It sounded more like a Brisbane home game during the match.

My dislike of the Vics ended up overriding my dislike of Brisbane and I found myself barracking for Dane Zorko of all people! Dane f**king Zorko!

Sameeee!!!!!!

May and Lever aren’t very well liked
Including they also don't seem to like one another much, based on the amount of arguing between them going on tonight

Edit: beaten to it by post above

There’s been a lot of Hubris and arrogance about that Melbourne side all year really.
Thought it came home to roost tonight.
The row at the restaurant.
The rumours about Goodwin.
The players visibly arguing on the field with each other. Steven May and lever especially.
All the excessive sledging etc - that kind of stuff is a sign of a team that wasn’t properly focused and if you are even 1% off it’s enough. Serves them right.
hit the nail on the head; there's been a fractious divide and the 'culture' has been affected. That business in the restuarant was flat out embarrassing! They've been ropey ever since we broke that 10-game winning streak. Their loss isn't a surprise to me, it just proves you have to be mentally switched on and the infamous "double chance" of top 4 isn't a given you'll waltz into a GF again. Hope the boys take heart from that Brissy performance, as much as I dislike them, I think Melbourne going out in straight sets provides greater satisfaction! :D

Yep.. Melbourne will be on the decline.
Did you notice Jackson looked extra mopey after the game.
Like it was his last game for his old club..

What I noticed last night was that May and Lever; especially May lose a lot of their effectiveness when they aren't taking clean uncontested intercept mark after intercept mark.

They were both dropping the marks they had been taking every week for the last two years and May especially was useless in containing his opponent.
