Calling the odd obvious free that may or may not have been missed with 3 umps is the only positive I can see with this move and I'm not certain that will happen!

I hope I'm wrong and the standard of officiating the game improves as its firmly tied into the enjoyment of spectating for me.

Yep.

4 umpires = 4 different interpretations = more confusion = less enjoyment. Christ on a bike.

tbh I think captain as a role is more symbolic than anything.

It is but leadership from a group consisting of multiple players seems to be very very important these days.

Personally don’t like co captains. I prefer my club to be able to make tough decisions and for me selecting multiple captains isn’t doing that.

They really need one umpire per player. Then... we would have fair play.
happy pies GIF by CollingwoodFC

Saints game starts in a couple of hours. I am going to watch with interest how they're playing. Apparently Ross has gone to a handball happy style in the preseason when he realised he didn't have much tall timber to play with up front.

Collingwood were scary in transition at times yesterday. Hawks pretty impressive too. Pretty bruise free but very attacking football from both sides.
I did find the result quite funny in the context of last year. Hawks tipped to get the spoon by many but Collingwood still only getting the win by a goal again.

Terrible game so far but pretty windy there apparently

Higgins looks a threat again, the little cretin. Who will we send to him?

Adelaides forwardline really is the stuff of dreams but I suppose it should be when they've put like 4 top 10 picks into it. I'll be really interested to see if that forwardline can carry putting nothing significant into the rest of the ground through a rebuild

I doubt it
