The hypothetical discussed was that Hardwick was fired end of 2016 when Richmond fell out of the finals race. You said you'd still want him now if that happened, so he wouldn't have three flags.

What is it about Hardwick's style of play or coaching that you like?

To me, it's that he has a generational talent in contention for the best player of all time in the side.

So you would rather JL than a successful multiple premiership coach?

Or... you choose to never to criticise anything Freo no matter how poorly Freo play when it regards management because you believe they read your posts and won't employ you one day as you hope they do?

The third choice is that firing a coach now is no guarantee of even getting closer to a flag, as the example of Hardwick shows.

Blues brought in Mick Malthouse for that.

Ps. I don't have a high opinion of my own opinion and don't have any aspirations of working direct for FFC. You arse.

I have been so glad to see someone, Maalcolm Blight, come out in defence of the Suns.If only people who are shotting the Suns actually took time to look back at the history of some other clubs, mainly Melbourne based clubs, they would find that more money is spent on Melbourne based clubs than the Suns.
Clubs like North, Hawthorn, Footscray, Richmond, Carlton have all had money thrown at then to save them, because, they were ,according to the VFL/AFL, the basis of the competition.
Look at what the AFL threw at the Melbourne FC. Appointed a head man to run the club, at the expense of the AFL.Employed Paul Roos to help the club football wise.At the expense of the AFL. For over 20 years , every year, provided the MFC money to survive.
What the VFL/AFL have used to keep the Suns afloat is nothing compared to what they have spent to save the Melbourne based clubs.
Have a read of Blights response. It is well worth it.
The Boys Club is alive and well at AFL house.

Rory Lobb is about to be dropped. Wonder if this campaigner is gonna take a potshot at his new coach for coaching him in the wrong direction?

I have a high enough opinion of your opinion for us both.

Lobb will be loving it
Doesn’t even need to play and still gets paid
He’s found the promised land

He was misquoted about having the wrong coach and not having the right position to better his career. He meant the wrong couch and his favoured position is lounging

Good post. While I agree with it all, I still think North should have been forced to move up there as first planned. The extra clubs just drain the talent pool. And while the AFL are happy to now get that extra game a week to boost their TV presence and advertising revenue, the actual product - the game of footy itself - is suffering for it. Yes we see some great footy these days, but yikes we also get some absolutely dire games.

If anyone's on the bird app, check out the Gryan Miers/Lionel Messi/Gerard Whateley stuff. Next level sh*thousery.

There is no way that the Boys Club were ever going to force a Melbourne based club out of Victoria.I don't believe that that plan would have worked any way. NM have never had a strong membership odr following,Even during their buying premierships years, they never had a strong supporter base.
I always use the analogy of a glass of cordial, the more water you add, the weaker the cordial gets.
It will only get worse when the AFL decide to hand out naother licence after Tassie, if Tassie even gets of fthe ground. I have heard from people down there that idf Labor get tinto power down there, which is a very strong chance, then the entire thing will be abondened.
Both franchise clubs, are just breeding grounds for the power houses of the competition of Melbourne.
Just like before the non Victorian teams came in.WA and SA were r*ped and pillaged by the VFL. Then the expansion came and the local competition has become an almost nothing competition. The AFL are killing second tier competitions around the country and they don't give a sheeit.

Persisting with that gimp felt like a sunk cost on Bevos part. Dogs look a lot better without him.
Not watching currently (just checking the stats for fantasy), but it appears Naughton is playing much better without Lobb in the team.
