Real mixed bag of skills in this Ess vs Syd game making it hard to have any watchable flow. One player will do something with the highest class and get it on to the next player who makes a basic skill error and on it goes. I gave the last of the 2nd quarter a miss. Hope it picks up in the 2nd half.

The thing that shits me, is that even when we weren't on we'd become a lethal side going forward. The Hawks and Bombers games we scored against the run of play and were ruthlessly efficient. Involved having Darcy and Treacy playing of course.

Classic Essendon season, start off red hot, go into the mid-season bye in the top 4, everybody jumps on the hype train (usually led by VFL media), then they fall apart in the last month of the home and away and somehow miss finals
