Yowsers.
he’s eaten Sean Darcy

His first few weeks of preseason are going to be fun, lugging all that extra pud around.

Melbourne will be an interesting club for me next year.
There’s a lot of talk that they are just about done and they need to blow the joint up and start again.
It’s gone under the radar a bit but by Wednesday night they could easily have Harvey Langford and Harry Armstrong on their list, to go with two top 15 picks from last year in Tholstrup and Caleb Windsor (who was very impressive in year 1).
Theres a few other young players of genuine value on the list too like JVR, Rivers, McVee and Pickett.
Thats 7 or 8 potentially high quality players under 24, there is also that Jefferson kid they picked up in the Jackson trade with pick 15 who has done nothing yet but maybe too early to write off as a bust.

Just feel if they get their off field shit sorted next year and the 5 or 6 older A graders they have lift in addition to these youngsters they could be a very decent team again in 2025.
I reckon Goodwin is a big part of their problems.

Scotty Cummings is going to stipulate being pictured next to Harley Feed in every contract going forward.

Can you even begin to imagine this bloke a month or two into retirement.

Like Jake La Motta ate Billy Brownless.

Looks like Reid's bulking and then cutting before the start of the season, which is fair enough, doesn't make the photo any less funny.

Wow, so a young fit WCE star gets all the excuses in the world.
One of our own stars despite having injuries worries and resent photos of him looking fit is fat campaigner.
Love big footy sometimes.
And I'm not going spend hours defending my views.

Wow - I find this surprising.

This makes it so so clear why the NSW and QLD academies are so dumb too. The top end of the draft is full of picks under that bracket every year for the development of the game yet the indigenous boys have been falling away. The AFL continuing to invest in new pathways while ignoring the people and clubs who are at the core of the game and have been for years.

I don't think it's any one factor but the progressive prioritisation of athletes over footballers is one root cause. Benny Vigona delivered more memorable moments in one game than I expect Jeremy Sharp to deliver over a lifetime, but only one played at the highest level.

Having said that i I am not sure the maths, if I could be bothered doing them, would support the argument of a crisis. Indigenous people make up 3% of the population. So assuming all things equal, when you have an average of 1000 draft nominees, only 30 would be expected to be Indigenous. Even if 100 get drafted across the main and rookie drafts, an average year would see only 3 indigineous blokes selected. It doesn't seem surprising with random variation that once every 40 years there would be zero, the same as some years there will be six

since the draft hasn't happened yet, maybe he should wait to see if this actually happens before being sad and so angry? Seems odd. Is he trying to influence selection?

Meanwhile, we just picked up the most exciting indigenous player in the game IMO. He's a bit Shai but sure knows where the goals are.
