I think that Sean Darcy was a classic example of the umpires being fed up with the way the Pies were deliberately trying to slow down the game

Definitely a case of the umps getting to the end of their tether’s, too much back chat and ignoring requests, taking place.

I noticed the Pies last night had a tactic of ignoring the stand call and walking backwards on the mark, presumably to make it harder for the players to just run around.

After a couple the umpires pinged them 50 twice in about 5 minutes.

I think with some teams there’s a genuine direction to push the boundaries, like with throwing or whatever & just daring the umpires to call it.

Pies have definitely been doing the time wasting to get more time to setup and, it seems the shuffle backwards on the mark.

I reckon it’s a we are the premiers & the biggest club we can push the boundaries.

Very much have a sense the umpires are cracking down on them. Good on them.

Nicks record on the road is 11 wins 32 losses.

3 wins against North.

And only 1 side has made the top 8 out of those 11 wins

our road record seems to have been decent in recent years. This year a few other non-Vic teams like WC, Crows and the Suns have struggled. I do think if we can win in Alice Springs might go a long way to seeing us play finals, because we're collecting important road wins where others are failing or struggling.

If we could have a half decent record at home we might make top 2.

But Losing to West Coast and the draw we have given up 10 pts at Optus before the halfway mark.

Not exactly ideal when as a WA side you probably need top 2 to have a genuine chance of winning the comp.

Seeing the Reid sling and McMuffin's spear tackle, I don't see why both are not looked at the same way. Both tackles are dangerous with an extreme possibility for the tackled player to smack their head on the ground with no ability to protect themselves.
