However, in the freak scenario we lose on Saturday we will back it up with a win.

There is a lot to be excited about this season. And, this isn't the year we threaten the flag. That will be next year, and at that stage things will be harder to enjoy in some ways as it will be more serious. So enjoy the ride this year. This is the fun, start up is starting to kill it, we are figuring stuff out as we win and occasionally lose season. Enjoy it!

Just think about the age of our guns and the amount of young talent coming through with them. In the next few seasons we will be able to make the argument that we have 3 top ten players in the league. With a heap of talent coming through behind them.

I said it last week it was laughable to think Collingwood were so far ahead of everyone else coming into the comp this year.

They rode there luck for 2 years and won a flag by under a goal in both the GF and Prelims.

They weren't smashing sides and if anything they play there best football when chasing the game in the final quarter.

Makes you question how they get themselves into those positions in the first place.

I still think they will catch up and make a late-season run to the finals but the petrol tank getting there will be worn down by the end.

On St Kilda there certainly a top 8 side for mine purely on the basis Ross gets the most out of that squad and will strangle a lot of the garbage sides in the comp.

Pies had one of the worst % of any premier I'm recent memory. In the NBA they always talk about net rating which is a somewhat similar measure. Pies will come back to the pack big time.

Ross really set the saints up to feed wnaganeen milers similar to what he use to do with Brad hill. Not sure JLo has that in him but prob has diff strengths. Thought stocker looked a completely different player too. Think the saints are on a similar trajectory to us.. AFL must hate that...
