That was a cracking game to be at! All the better seeing the Geelong heartbreak, oh it was delicious
They arguably won them the game in the end, were a brick wall in the period Lions got a run of goals going so Geelong couldnt keep up. Lester and Starcevich I think it was.
Have they been crying about it not being played at the Kardinia dump yet.
Ok but why should every other team get to pay at their home ground except for Geelong? Even Giants played at their crappy oval.
1. It's a shithole, too small and not fit for finals football.
2. They get to play gfs as an away team at the MCG.
3. The MCG is an official home ground of the club, for example they chose to play 2 there this year.
4. The Cats have had a heap of AFL gifts so who gives a shit anyway.
1. Capacity of 40k. Plenty of stadiums with smaller capacites used throughout the season. And in finals if you're GWS.
2. 50% of teams play as an away team at the MCG?
3. They should be able to choose where they want to play.

Of all the things to be pissed off about Geelong the fact that they want to play home finals in Geelong is really the least harmful thing I can think of. If we had lost the final there then at least I'd understand the angst.

Lions did well to get to a granny from 5th
Probably were unlucky to drop to 5th in the first place to be fair. Lot of close losses towards the end there. Probably the second best team all year.
Impressive effort for Brisbane to make the GF from outside the top 4 as a non-Victorian team.
I believe it’s only been done once before, in 2019 by GWS.
Like 2019 though, I think Sydney shit this premiership in. I just don’t think you can win 3 consecutive away games against top sides to win a flag. Hence I always thought non-Vic sides cannot win the flag outside of 4th. Fascinating to see if I’m proven wrong though.

Pretty impressive lions turnout. Even in the mcc, it was awesome to see.
