I hope so but Richmond won 2 games last year and got worst. WC might get worse too but they probably need another 2-3 big injuries to their spine to be on Richmond’s level.WCE will be challenging Richmond for the spoon.

West Coast have multiple qualty KPP. Richmond have noted thug, Balta and the corpse of Lynch.I hope so but Richmond won 2 games last year and got worst. WC might get worse too but they probably need another 2-3 big injuries to their spine to be on Richmond’s level.
Oops, I missed Dougal Howard. YikesEek, is the "Ross Lyon Curse" a real thing...?!?! Every club has injuries, and Freo are no different right now. But here go Saints with 3 big injuries already. Phillipou and Marshall pretty important players you'd estimate; Dow maybe a bit more 'peripheral'....crims
Young Saint set for lengthy layoff, dislocated shoulder sidelines defender
Mattaes Phillipou could miss up to 12 weeks with a stress fracture in his leg, while Dougal Howard has dislocated his shoulderwww.afl.com.au
Yep. A lot needs to go wrong for any team to be as bad as Richmond this season.I hope so but Richmond won 2 games last year and got worst. WC might get worse too but they probably need another 2-3 big injuries to their spine to be on Richmond’s level.

Trade him to Sydney and get Warner. If you are West Coast, do you try to keep Oscar Allen, or get a very likely top 4 pick for him?
I know for me, it is a very easy decision.
Obviously, they should keep him so they don't bottom out and stay shit for a long time.
I think his injury history would drop his value well below top 4.If you are West Coast, do you try to keep Oscar Allen, or get a very likely top 4 pick for him?

The Eagles might see it as a key to Chad Warner. If they finish bottom 6 and get Band 1 for Oscar they might have a hand that would be impossible to match
Allen has barely played for 2 years though...If Battle was a first round pick, surely Allen is.
He probably needs a good year this year.
I recall calling this one on here the day Daniher retirement was announced. That's the worst kept secret of the season.
He’s a free agent, Brisbane aren’t paying a top 4 pick, they a paying $1mil PA to ensure WC get band 1 and don’t force a trade.Allen has barely played for 2 years though...

Surely they finish bottom 3, very likely 2nd bottom.
If you are the Eagles, and have pick 2 and 3, do you trade pick 3 for Warner straight up?
If not, who gets more?
Firstly I agree with you - if Allen is moving as a FA, he’s the safest bet to hit band 1 compo I’ve seen in many years. Absolutely cast iron certainly. Brisbane would probably need to pay over $1m a year and it’s just not possible that won’t be band 1.Hawthorn’s first rounder thrown in with something else from Sydney coming back imo.
Actually now I think of it West Coast’s second rounder probably adds just as much to the trade as that pick swap does.
You make a very good point - culture/leadership - he's a big contributor and very hard to replace. He will help their rebuild enormously if he's around the club for the next six years+.If I was on the Eagles list management I absolutely would not be letting go of Allen. He's the most important player on their list beside Harley Reid.
