Well we know who won't be getting the West Coast job. Absolutely no fight at all. Players certainly not playing for him.

Fortunately this sort of behaviour is rare in Australia. Should be a police matter and the offender facing court. The goal umpire being hit in the back of the head by a bottle thrown at the Blues vs Saints game is a real problem.
If VFL HQ were really concerned about umpires, there would surely be a sanction against the club in question (and I don’t know whose fan did it).
However, much easy to apply the Toby tax to us and turn a blind eye to umpire safety to protect VFL clubs.
In European football, clubs face real penalties for serious misbehaviour in the stands by their fans.

In European football the fans hate each other simply because of the team they support. Let’s not over react on the back of one criminal idiot.
Agree. Plus a little bit of time locked up.And a life ban to the idiot.

I almost feel sorry for Carlton fans - St Kilda have nothing to play for and still ruined the Carlton season. Only hope for Carlton is that Port beats Freo, so they can go to Gabba - and most likely lose to BrisbaneCarlton giving Fremantle a sniff at 8th place.
I agree.I reckon the AFL won't be too happy with media darlings Hawthorn and the Dogs playing an EF. One of them is guaranteed to go.
Port leading by a point at half-time.Yep, Carlton have given Freo the chance to snatch their position in the 8. Can Freo take that chance? I'd love it, just for the lols of another big Melbourne club missing out.
Losing Treacy up forward really hurt them …, he’s a beastPoor Freo. Their season fell apart in the last month.
Losing today means that we've spared ourselves a trip to Adelaide.
Looking at the finals draw, if we win the QF, there's a chance we'd play either Hawthorn or the Bulldogs in the PF, if either of them get past the loser of the Port-Geelong QF.Poor Freo. Their season fell apart in the last month.

The "throwdogs" premiership might be making a return this year ...I wish I could say I was surprised. That decision is about as valid as the 2016 premiership.

But we'll smash 'em this time. We’re going to host the Poodles at GS in the Prelim.
It’s inevitable.
