Gold Coast Suns - making the worst logo in football worser

Have they managed to put a foot right since joining the league?
I feel a bit sorry for their supporters getting these things foisted on them.
It looks instantly dated. They should have re-done their club song before the logo.
Their clash guernsey looks just as bad.

Guernsey was a priority as they wear it every week … the song only comes out occasionally;)

What does that mean for the consumer?
Better off? Worse off? Same same but different
I predict worse.

Stuff taken over by DAZN tends to be both expensive and crap. They know they've got a captive audience so would rather half the people pay three times the price.

I'm sure we will also all be eagerly awaiting what punishment VFL House puts on Noah Balta for actually assaulting someone and sending them to hospital. Not just hurting someone's feelings.
F*** me, you called it.
A private event with zero victims vs public violence is the same thing to the AFL.

Ex-GWS academy kid Todd Marshall is likely out for the season with an achilles injury.

Port Adelaide forward Todd Marshall is expected to be sidelined for a lengthy period after rupturing his achilles at training on Monday. The Power confirmed that Marshall went down at training and that scans revealed the worst possible news. It is understood that the 26-year-old was attempting to change direction in a series of small, game simulations. Marshall is expected to go into surgery later this week, with a timeline for his recovery to be made clearer after. He could miss the entire 2025 season.

if he has ruptured his achilles he will definitely miss the year. Even a tear is almost certainly the year.

most people are never the same after a full rupture.

Horrible news.

I still have a soft spot for Timmy T.

Could Richmond enter a new era with a new captain? With ruckman Toby Nankveris hitting the wrong age of 30, a new voice might be what Richmond needs. Taranto could join Nankervis in the driver's seat as a co-captain, which the club has previously done when Dylan Grimes joined the latter for seasons 2022 and 2023. The former Giant oozes leadership both through actions on the field, and his rigorous and professional standards off it, playing a perfect role model for the next generation of stars.

funny, I kinda dont

For some reason, I didnt like how he left. Nothing specific, it just kinda felt anti giant. Not the same as Devon Smith, but I didnt like it.
Most I have been ok with, but not so much with Tim.

I think he'll be a good captain.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Exactly what we need.

again, I disagree.
I think he misses way too many targets, really hurts our run and gun game. Everyone in the midfield rush kicks and misses under pressure, he does it more than most. But the bigger issue he misses handballs and kicks he shouldnt IMO.

He definitely has strengths, he has won 2 bnf's, is great in the contest and can stand in a tackle.

Im happy to have moved past him. especially given the amount he takes up in salary cap.

I may be in the minority (or even on my own) with Taranto, but never loved him as a player.

I actually think that when he pushed forward to take Toby's role he was very dynamic and played his best footy.
