Come home from school, turn on the cricket, and hope Dean was yet to bat...
He drew you to want to watch him. If he wasnt batting yet you wanted someone to go out so he could come in and bat and when he was batting you just did not want to leave the tv as you just never knew what you were gonna get. A person who changed the way the cricket was played in the one day arena. RIP

There were 32 instances this season where one team had two or more days' extra rest than its opponent, where the opponent was backing up off a six day or fewer break. In a whopping 26 of these 32 matches, the more rested team won.

According to this guys model at least. Would be interesting to see if we still ended out on top if the same model with run but it was only considered a genuine away game if you DIDN'T play the game at home, and it was still considered a genuine home game regardless of your opposition.

For example:

Brisbane vs Gold Coast @ the Gabba (Brisbane Genuine Home, Gold Coast Genuine Away)
Richmond vs Brisbane @ Metricon (Richmond Neutral Game, Brisbane Genuine Away)
Richmond vs Carlton @ MCG (Richmond Genuine Home, Carlton Neutral Game)

Then factor in the amount of plane trips each team took throughout the year and finally actually weight the information from the above (2day break vs a team on less then 6 days) as a bigger weighting (as it had more of a genuine impact on the ability to win those games) and I think you will find we haven't had as big of a dream run as everyone makes out when you compared the same system to every other year.

But that would ya know, take into account the inherent advantage that teams get by never leaving their state, which is talked away "LOL NOT A HOME GAME IF THE OTHER TEAM IS FROM THE MCG TOO LOL" and "LOL MCG NOT A HOME GAME FOR VICTORIAN CLUBS CAUSE NEUTRAL CROWDS"

Fantastic fielder. When he first appeared, the Aussies fielded like pensioners. I used to enjoy just watching him field as it was such a contrast.

Justin Leppitsch has informed the Club he has decided to step away from his assistant coaching role.

Just me or does it look like they've photoshopped his head onto an out of proportion body? Looks like a booblehead toy, or a Gladstone Small impersonator.

Collingwood was one, but what was the second game where we had an extra two days break compared to our opponent?

EDIT: I think it might have been the GWS game, where they had a six day break and we had nine.

It seems a bit silly to count that, but not games where one team had four days and the other five.

A massive congrats to Benny Keays for finishing 5th in the Crows B&F. I don’t know a single Lions supporter that wouldn’t wish him the best. Great to see his career is now back on track. Well deserved and a good reward for perseverance and hard work.

Taken as a rookie for Adelaide and missed selection in round one. But Ben played every game after that.
Given numerous tagging roles up to round 8, he then appeared to take the basic midfield role for the rest of the season.
Moving to a struggling team gave him a chance to show what he is capable of producing.
Turns 24 in February so his best years are ahead of him

To pry Luko out of the Suns, one of the SA clubs would have to put in a godfather offer. This bloke is going to be an out and out star of the comp. A very early pick who imo has certainly lived up to expectations at this stage of his career. Elite user of the ball and reader of the play. If I was the Suns I’d ask for pick 1 at an absolute minimum or get stuffed.

You wouldn't think the Crows would trade pick 1 but the Suns will be asking for it. Do they have any other first round picks. Of course they could trade their 2021 first rounder

Thought Luko was mates with Rozzee. Port might be a genuine chance here.
