Is it just me but do the umps really pile on when Collingwood are mounting their inevitable comebacks?

I thought they got them over the line a few times in the H&A and tried hard again tonight.

Might be just me tho?

Was waiting for a random "block" or "Holding" free at the last stoppage tbh

I feel like Collingwood were allowed to do whatever they wanted in the last few minutes of a few of those games. Holding the ball and incorrect disposal out the window

It is you.

Papley got an absolute gift. Their only goal for the quarter.

Geelong by 15 goals next week. Sydney looks cooked.
They couldn't score that last quarter.

Yeah I'd say Cats are short priced favorites.

Pies had proven they are equal to the Cats and they just have an incredible will to win imo.

But gave too big a start. Would've won by a couple with another 3 minutes.

Far too much pies love from you, bit gross imo. You should be enjoying that they went O-2 in close games in finals after wining 10+ close games in home and away.

I just love the way they play.

Is that a crime ?

It's inconceivable a coach could get a team that folded under pressure to just keep eating it for breakfast in a season . But that's what's happened.

I really believe they would've won it had they got there tonight. They've been unlucky. It's not as if they're not used to that.

If we're not in it the whole thing's a non event for me.

Probably play golf when it's on next week.

"Block...free kick Collingwood!!!!" seems to have been a recurrent theme in a lot of their close wins.

They benefited twice within a minute at both ends in their win against Carlton.

Both were marginal at best
Lol.

That was weeks ago.

They fully deserved to be there and would've won the flag had their luck not run out.

Not that I'm unhappy about it , but surely any footy follower has to admire the way they played this year.

Yes.

Collingwood were a top 10 team who rode their luck. Nothing special. They’ll regress to the mean again next year.

Swans certainly had he better of the umpiring from what I saw. It was a very timidly officiated affair.

Some poor decisions both ways I felt. A couple of ordinary decisions that weren’t called against Collingwood late. Umpires just put their whistle away and pray for the best in close finishes.

Agree.

This "put the whistle away"because it's a Final nonsense leads to frequent and unpunished rule breaking. Yet they will still pull a "discretionary" free from nowhere if it suits them.

If they had so much endeavour why did they lose?
It's not as if the Swans aren't good. They pantsed Melbourne when Melbourne were relatively injury free.

They were nearly 6 goals in front on their home deck.

The Pies and the Swans are way ahead of us on anything I've seen the last 6 weeks.

Don't quite understand how others don't see that.

Next year we start again.
