I would prefer Eagles to beat the Demons but that won't happen.

If Hawks beat the Cats then it is going to be a long road to get into the 8 for them.
Surely the Cats don't have that much of a premiership hangover.

From experience in your 30s hangovers are a lot worse so wouldn't be surprised if it effects the Cats a lot harder than usual

Whoever plays them twice this year has an advantage.
Not us though.
At least we have beaten 2 of our hardest double ups already.

EVERY TEAM’S 2023 DOUBLE-UPS

Hate seeing Paddy "dragged off the SCG' when he could of been motorised off. Hope he follows in the footsteps of Adams and looks after his future. ....

What looked like at the start of the season a relatively "easier" set of double ups now looks pretty difficult, Crows, Saints big improvers this year, Dockers will be tough particularly away and the Suns are always up for the Pineapple Grapple.

West Coast have had a few bad years in the past, got some high draft picks and then bounced back to the top 4 in around 3 years. I can't see it this time. Also, the Kelly trade will also have to go down as one of the worst of all time and he would be lucky to be worth on late Round 1 pick. Geelong seem to do well out of most trades.

Yes, you can't count your chickens.
However, getting those 2 early wins against teams we could have lost both double ups to, things have settled a bit.

From memory after the draw i had wins. Adelaide 2, Collingwood 1, Freemantle 2, Gold Coast 1, Melbourne 1, St Kilda 2 = Total 9
Looking at it now Adelaide 2, Collingwood 1, Freemantle 2, Gold Coast 2, Melbourne 1, St Kilda 1 = Total 9

Suns- Each year i think they will get better but once again they are struggling. Round 10 Gabba then round 20 away
Saints- Can they maintain their form. We meet them in rounds 16 and round 24 at the Gabba. Hopefully they will drop off by round 16.
Dockers- Round 7 at the Gabba then round 21 away. They are struggling at present.
Crows- Round 11 in Adelaide then round 22 at the Gabba. Be interesting to see how they are travelling form and ladder wise before them meet us.
Their next 7 are Blues, Hawks, Pies, Cats, Saints, Dogs then Lions.

At this early stage of the season the competition looks more even than last season

Seriously at this rate, how long can handball survive? 5 years? I can here the AFL already, "make the game faster , more open, higher scoring, more people can play without learning the skill etc etc "
Or you could pay the free kick?

Didn’t even get Pinged for a forward pass.
I'm not blaming the umps. It's obviously a directive from above.

It used to be that anything a bit suss got pinged straight away. Now the opposite applies. As long as you dish it off whatever way you can they let it go. Throwers get rewarded because it's a lot easier to clear the stoppages.
