Broken foot and leg for Swan. Might be the last we see of him.

Unfortunate if it ends that way.
Geez, I thought that as well when they said the length out.

He has already said this could be his last season, such a shame because he is a champ at the end of the day.

Commentary kept harping on about the drug scandal, this had absolutely nothing to do with the game.

The Swans were getting very little credit for an absolute mauling, all because some Pies players are taking drugs.

Now the Pies board is having a roast Mark Robinson thread as if he has cost them the game, my god.

Yeah, if they'd won they'd be saying it galvanised them.

It's not like anything needs to be explained: Collingwood were totally disorganised, especially when they turned it over. The Swans always had multiple options. The Pies couldn't cope with an opponent that genuinely ran hard.

And if Buckley avoids scrutiny for that performance, well I just don't know. He picked Corey Gault over Brodie Grundy on the basis of NAB form, and Gault did nothing at all while Kurt Tippett (!) won the ruck contests and the Swans won the centre clearances.

Everyone remembers that amazing game at Kardinia Park where both sides kicked 20+ goals. It was easy for the media and the average fan to get sucked in about how effective they were going forward, but the coach should have twigged that there were serious problems defending.

Yeah.

The most serious problem being that they have no idea.

Despite the glamorous image surrounding their midfield, there's been one persistent knock on them for quite a few years:

They're all one way runners. Downhill skiers , if you like.

Still a problem even with players like Crisp, Greenwood and Macaffer who actually run both ways in there.

Pretty savage by a former player.

Correct me if I'm wrong or harsh, but the first thought that emerged into my mind when this was quoted was 'if you gave a shit about that club you would've played at a weight that wasn't close to a special episode on Maury Povich'. That was pretty embarrassing in it's own right.

I might be being nasty though.

Landed really badly in a marking contest. Ugly.
Cheers man, just watched it, dam. Not sure if it's an ACL but you never know when it comes to knees, a bit like a back injury, looks like something popped or snapped. He'd be spewing, won that game for Collingwood the other night off his own boot.

It's actually believed that he's broken his leg.

very sad for swanny if this is the end of his career. really like him as a player.
also from the interviews i have seen him in he comes across as a bloke who doesn't take him self or footy too seriously which is refreshing IMO. you can not accuse him of being a robot or a cardboard cutout. if it's over for him i think he will move on with the rest of his life without regrets.

Reward for having to play away in rd1. Did the commentators say it was the first time the Pies had played in Syd since 2001? Or was that the SCG.
Played there last year.
Yep, just another point to add to the long list of incorrect dribble.

I turned the telly on around halftime of the Suns game and within 5 minutes heard Derwayne exclaim "He can get & go".
After dinner, I turned the Swans game on and within 5 minutes BT was telling us about someone selling candy.
Then Richo tells us that Buddy's shoulder is perfectly fine because he's back up & running, only to be escorted from the ground a minute later.
Then it was Swan's knee, and even though it was clear that his ankle went and they identified that was the problem they persisted with the ankle AND KNEE.

Whatever rule interpretations, players, structures, game styles change, we can rely on the shit commentary continuing to be shit. Sure, people can be wrong, but some of these idiots insist on talking with definitive authority based on guess work.
