Resource Noober's Player Videos for 2024

Just about managed to sneak this one in before the deadline with draft day just around the corner now, hope I didnt butcher the edit too badly.

In this guide to the 2024 AFL draft I cover the first round in detail providing tier groupings, rankings and in depth player profiles. Outside of the first round I break the likely prospects up into their position types and rank them to make it easier for you to figure out which players your team could be targeting to fill that annoying hole in your lineup.

Huge thanks to everyone that's watched my content over the course the 2024 season, its been a privilege and a ton of fun to provide you with vision of the top end and the deep prospects in this bumper crop.

Anyone suffering from the post draft blues? Around these parts the draft never stops! Bring on 2025.

Louis Emmett is one of the most intriguing talents in the 2025 pool. A 198cm forward/ruck who competes hard and loves to fly for marks. Moves really well for his size, is excellent at ground level and loves to attack the game.

Thanks guys, genuinely my pleasure. Love making the videos and the draft chat.

Channel has grown steadily since last year. The 4 day draft window (including the day before when views start to ramp up) was ~32k views in 2023 and up to 48k this year.

Just nudged past the 1 million views mark about a week ago.

Very well deserved, Noobs, you've done a mountain of work to grow the channel.

I want to echo the other posters in thanking you for the time and effort you've put in - clearly out of love and enjoyment, but time/effort nevertheless - these past couple of years.

I keenly look forward to future videos. Best of luck with everything.

Thanks mate. I greatly appreciate the support and help from everyone on this board, posting the videos around and also feeding me their tips on players to look at and guys that I haven't given enough of a chance to. Its definitely been a team effort.

One of my absolute favourites in the 2025 draft crop is Fred Rodriguez from WA. Slick and clean with his hands, able to gather difficult ball below his knees. Elite skills off either side of the body by hand or foot. Attacking instincts to burst forward into dangerous space. Strong running power on the outside.

He was excellent at the Champs as a bottom ager, one of WA's best for the tournament. Here we see most of his game on full show, although his left foot was a little less lazer sharp than usual.

Your work is very much appreciated!

Better get used to three letter acronyms in 2025 my draft watching friends as the hyphens are coming, featuring CDT (Cooper Duff-Tytler) right at the pointy end of the draft pool. A tall ruck/forward who moves fantastically for his size, is clean below his knees and skilled with the footy. Plays more like a midfielder than a ruckman after the tap. More dominant through the middle than as a forward at this stage, which is a slight concern given he's "only" 199cm tall.

Great mover...a midfielder indeed.

Have seen Cooperplay a few times this year and what I find impressive is his ability to play like a midfielder

The fourth of the Duursma clan is another elite prospect with potential to be the best of the brood. The tallest of the siblings, he's rangy and athletic, capable of playing any role on the footy field from key position, wing or on ball.

A strong contribution to the 2025 hyphen brigade, NHH turned in a solid performance on grand final day in the U17 futures game. Playing on a forward flank for most of the game he was one of the high possession accumulators, demonstrating his endurance to roam up the ground and get involved in repeat contests. His marking strength was a standout, and he showed his creativity by foot, although he did also turn the ball over at times.

Watched a few Calder games this year and his ability fwd is unreal

Wes Walley is a dangerous small/medium forward tied to the Eagles via their NGA program. In the U17 Futures game on grand final day Walley showed how dangerous he can be with his pace and movement inside the forward 50 creating numerous scoring opportunities, but his conversion prevented him from kicking a bag.
