Trucksta what the hell, where has turtle gone to? And who is the wild boar that he plays in round one?

Wedderburn have lost Luke Freeman, Simon Terhill and Maybe Brett Long. Havn't signed many yet but maybe some in the pipeline....
Donald have got a Big bloke also, can play CHF/CHB.

Charlton got Walklates 2 cousins, plus that real skinny fella that used to play for them a few years back, number 45 I think he was, played in a back pocket, maybe hogan on logan???

Living and working in Moula so playing up there, The Wild Boare would be Wayno Mitrovic, not sure there is enough room for 2 big bustling centremen in the muddy waters..

Terhill on the move would open up the wing for you King!

Gus Grigg to Birchip. Played at North Ballarat last year after 2 big years in the Murray League. Massive get for Birchip

Gus grigg, is he travelling from ballarat?? I can't imagine he'd be coming cheaply. Swooped in and picked up the cheque of Hallam I'd imagine. Truck have you got big cod on the track yet? Does anyone know if the league is changing the jnr year levels from 16s to 17s, bit of talk about, is that all it is?

I believe he is moving to and working on a farm in Birchip. He will take out BOG for both on and off the field (some of his finest work is after hours). I wouldn't worry about how much he costs because the money will be put straight back over the bar

Ha, He played in the 1's truck not two's remember. I'm looking for Barnes to break down, he's got my spot.
Yeh Longy is living and working in Melbourne at the moment. Work commitments will most likely prohibit him from returning to the Burn, along with the travel, its a logistical nightmare.
Turtle will be a fair loss for wyche, will always give you a good contest in the guts. Have you picked up anyone to replace him?

Boort with 20 clearances in already, thats big numbers, must reckon they are really going to struggle for local numbers in the coming years.

Not the only ones who are battling low local numbers wyche apparently no junior teams this year, charlton have 8 thirds players,Redbacks battling to get numbers for seconds, future of league starting to look a little bit cloudy.

M4s still hearing rumours about a couple of your recruits, Ouyen rumour getting stronger plus rumours of a different kind about another of your guns

With this in mind what are the options either for the league or clubs within the league into th future

Probably 8/10 years ago before this new commission was formed the VCFL had plans of a three tiered competition based around the existing BFL of three divisions of approx 10 sides in each division with promotion/relegation.Leagues involved in the idea at the time were BFL LVFL HDFL MCDFL and some NCFL sides. Dont know if this died a natural death or if it may reappear into the future, however may be an option going forward.
I dont think that NCFL is on its own with dwindling numbers however, with seemingly less numbers of kids taking on the game everywhere, surely the commission will be brainstorming this problem.

In WMCA cricket, St Mary's (warrack) beat Donald first innings, not sure on 2nd innings situation
St Arnaud won first innings, but are chasing 171 to win 2nd innings v Wyche

Donald Smashed Hopetoun yesterday, Jarred Newell I think it was got 90 or so

And Wyche got over top placed Birchip

Meeting tomorrow to discuss the junior situation...

If they go u17s, it means wyche juniors survive another year, which in turn means they have more time to come up with a plan to keep it alive.

However I don't like the chances of a change so close to the season, even if its in the best interests of the league

Wedderburn would not be able to field an under 17 team and would therefore pull out of the competition.

I'm not sure Wyche are all that keen on u17's to be honest! Delaying the inevitable!"
