Any1 got a report from the Charl/Donald Game?

Donald got out of the blocks early, had the first two shots at goal but Charlton took over from then on. Very scrappy game, Charlton push numbers back very well. Thommo did play but stayed in teh forward line for the day. Donald had 8 players missing from its senior side and it showed. Andrews was best, Hill was also good in teh midfield. but when he went off early in the last the navies seemed to lose their way. Jordan Matthews played well and took a lot of marks. Glenn Wyatt was best by a mile for Donald.
Donald will be hoping to get back Berry, Anderson, Allen, Fraser, Burke, Leigh Funcke and there are a few i cant remember for the St. Arnaud game.

Roc, i've eaten my hat. Everyone laughed at me for wearing a hat made from Doritos around but who's laughing now?

Also, yep from what i saw Wyche have improved a bit. Wedderburn had a very off day. Several players a bit flat and the wind (which didnt pick up in the last quarter and was in effect all day lucy) didn't help. It was a fairly scrappy match to watch, the ball seemed to spend a lot of time on the ground. Redbacks are 5-0 though. Very good start.

yes i can't see anyone beating them, they have all the good players they are just a class above everyone else... as much as i hate to say it i think this could be the drought breaking year for the redbacks.. with the likes of gash, barnes, Benaim, Pearce, Turnball, Rose, and of cource Stenthouse... it will take a quality side to knock them off

wow no wonder the kid has such a big head.. he is associated with the likes of Nath Wright, Riley Koops, Cam Weston, Roh Mchugh, Matt Rice, Torin Petrie, Ricky Alllen etc.. who were all offered scholoships to Ballarat

I think the w/e results should be enough to show that it doesnt take much for an underdog to get up..... wedderburn yes are a good side but not the best in the league... they play a type of footy that comes unstuck in finals... for me navy blues looking the goods as long as andrews can stay on the park. although depth will have a huge say in this years finals..... interesting times ahead

i can see ur point in the past they have choked in the finals... but they are definately better this year... there is more depth.. every player is a good player rather than a dozen good some ordinary... when young guns like Weston and Colbert - who are constantly getting in the best for 2's (weston especially with several BOG's)- as Well as jesse Jackson- can't get a run then there is a obviously a quality side

Thats funny, Torin Petrie has been working for i dont know how long! doesn't go to school and hasn't in a while

And then there is no guarantee even if they make the final its not always the best or talented side that wins but the side who can play together as a side when it counts. pride becometh befor the fall

If I remember right the last time The Burn were the side to beat they did just that got beat. It's toooooo early the fat lady hasnt even got to get out of bed yet.

Very good target down forward, in Stenhouse, great in the midfield, and handy defence...but they are by no stretch of the imagination, in the boat that Boort or Donald were last year
