Re: North Central Football League

Jusr wondering, which teams have the greater percentage of born and bred (or long time resident locals? (example, funcke isnt local, as he played junior footy with minyip and only has 2 years at donald, whereas J Hollis is local, as was Drum for starnud last year, even tho hes from somewhere else, cuz he was there for ages, living and working) maybe use this weeks sides as an example

Wyche have about 13-14, the likes of ricky ison and dec lourey are at teh club through a local family connection from the footy club, Sam hawkins has been at the club since 2005 and doesnt look like leaving any time soon so its only a matter of time before he is know as a local. not many of the boys still live in the town though, there are still planty of locals that will play a fair bit of senior fotty this year with the likes of josh white and harry out injuried, jake white, jono roberts, joel pardella, jordy bish..... and few others that may get a call up to teh ones at some stage the only real non loacls are nathan elliot and Rick Smith (who lives and works in)

Burn Boys, Can anyone give me some info on the new players i saw named in the selected sides. I like to keep an eye on the saveloys results so would be good to know some info. ie, is Brown the same brown that played for Eaglehawk before jet setting os for cricket?

Brown is a 16-17 year old local boy. Moved to the area last year I believe and had a good first up hitout. Is a fair lump of a kid. Played off HBF on the weekend and was second best.

Of the other recruits, from reports, Douglas and Fevaleki went very well on the weekend. Both are onballers. Hughson got injured but should be a handy player. Sonogan was solid at best but is another tall option and backup ruckman.

Re: North Central Football League

Your whisper is full of $#!t, Zac has moved back to bendigo while the big fellas been away, I'v told zac if he ever wants a bit of meat i'v got plenty to give

any wonder he has been seen curled up in the foetal position and hiding in dark rooms. YOU WANT TO GIVE HIM MEAT????????????????

Re: North Central Football League

Donald got smashed by around 14 goals, today about 5 punchups, including 2 at the same time, No. 39 (?) bloke with the bright yellowy lime boots tried to run through a Donald bloke with his head down, only jut got him, he got put on his back by big Brad Burke, stayed down for a while too!

Don't worry mate, he did! stumbled around for a couple of minutes after it, but soon resumed to his normal bumping and mouthing off

Re: North Central Football League

Stenners and Douglas on fire for the Burn!

Give them the flag now - they are specials!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: North Central Football League

still a long way to go yet tossa, not suprised to hear that mouth banaim still does wat he does best, snipe!!

Still a long way to go, but the burn boys have got a lot up their sleeves with at least 5 quality players to come back into the side. Maybe more if Matty Sutherland decides to come back for another premiership

Re: North Central Football League

And with Cam Weston kicking 6 goals a game the burn boys are looking even more deadly

Re: North Central Football League

Just reading through the results from yesterday. did robby and the lads go for another dip?

Re: North Central Football League

Can someone tell me who played well for Donald? I heard they were at least competitive up until half time and just fell in a hole in the last 20 minutes of the game.

Re: North Central Football League

Boort's team for this week has 17 locals which must just about be a record and is a great sign for the year to come
If you want to look at a local side i would have to say my saints would be fully local. With our only outside player being our man Solly and Shaun Oneill. Very impressed on the weekend Roc, you would have to say the future looks bright with Grigg, Ciurleo, Egan, Sibson, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _,
_ _ _ _ _ _, _ _ _ _ _ to come back in!

Gene Brooks played quite well, wasn't really watching enough though, Blake Grant did well considering his age and height, got a few possies, can't really emember though

Re: North Central Football League

Can anybody tell me what went wrong for Birchip/Watchem on the weekend, or what went right for St Arnaud. Very interesting result thought B/W would have won easy, but i was wrong. How did Zac Holmes play?

Re: North Central Football League

Hey whats the G O with Josh Pearce. put in for 2 clearances' to mounts, rejected twice and hasnt put in for a third one yet....Having the year off Footy.

Will be alot easier to see where players are playing footy next when the only grounds for knocking back a clearance is if the player still owes money or has club property

Re: North Central Football League

can somebody tell me how cam weston is playing?? hear alot of talk about him but whenever i see him play he is seems blatantly terrible!!
