thats it roc get cocky. at least boort isnt depending on other teams to lose matches. if st arnard win they still mightnt make finals and if boort lose they can still make the finals

Cockiness is when sides get their footy trip premiership shirts made, and then get pumped in the grand final by the underdogs...

Cockiness is when players within a side, after a game, say "See you in the grand final" And come out and lose to the 2nd last side a few weeks later

If St Arnaud beat the out of form Wyche, Boort need to beat, an in form Birchip Watchem side, to make the finals... it can't be put any simpler than that mate!!!

However in Boorts Favour, is that St Arnaud not only have to take on Wycheproof, who have a tendancy of pulling off the unthinkable, but they also will probably have Dean Goodridge "Umpiring" (if thats what you call it) for the 10th or so time this year.

just after a weekend of footy, anyone got any constructive thoughts or reports on any of the games? definately going to be an interesting last round with 4th spot up for grabs, and charlton meeting wedderburn

Was talking to a bloke from Donald said he saw you at the footy Master... I'll repeat it again too, Birchip are by no means safe in 2nd spot. Boort look to be on fire and if they can knock them off, their percentage isn't that much higher than Charlton's. So if Charlton can beat Wedderburn which is not entirely out of the question at the moment, we could well see the Bulls slip back to third.

Now whats this I hear about Leigh Funcke grabbing Cliffy Ryan on the snorkel on Satdy? Any Birchip/Donald people like to reiterate what happened coz thats a pretty dirty act!!!!

I called past on my way in from charlton lol, just to check the scores Most cars were gone, there would have been, 15 or so spread out around the boundary... Went in one gate, and out another

Dont know if anybody has asked this, but how long would it have been since both senior and reserve Donald sides have finished on the bottom of the ladder in the same year?

Was told the other week by one of the committee men at Donald, that it has been around 54 years since they won the wooden spoon. He wasn't sure of the magoo's but it would have been a while as well you would think.

Not really the double that any club wants to have to their name at the end of a season.

The only other team that i could think of that might have conquered this feat would be Watchem before they alligned with Birchip. Only a guess though...

Boort very well could have, they spent a fair bit of time propping up the ladder in the late nineties and early naughties. Wyche had a few weak years as well but whether or not they spooned in both grades is hard to say.

Just had a look on the VCFL website, Wyche actually finished on the bottom in both grades last year. But we probably shouldn't be too harsh on them given that they have won every other grand final for the last 50 years!

Shove off Daisy you criticising annoying tosser! The last few games I have watched, Ross Funcke has featured in the best. What is with you anyway, in all your posts all you do is put down Donald and it's players!?!?!

I just wish he played and coached with the same passion that guys like Robbie Lee from Birchip and Nelson from Boort do!

It's not the coaching ability its the cattle. Ross would have had the passion last year. Doubt he would want to get out of bed to muster the flea ridden goats he had this year.

Well that is just your opinion. The board obviously feels differently as it was reported in the local paper that the club has resigned him for another year.

i see Perryman from Boort kicked 15 straight on the weekend and heard he only had 2 till half time. just wondering if a player has kicked more goals than plugger over the last 10 years as he always seems to kick his 50-60 goals a season even when boort were terrible.

I have noticed that when he gets bags, he generally has a quiet following week.
