Well this one is going to be a challenge with 1st vs 12th down at Hobart. We've lost a few close games so far this year but North are flying and are clearly the best in the comp at the moment.

return of Montana Ham ... Gowans says she will be important in several areas on North Hobart Oval.
“She brings effort and intensity and she's able to spread from the contest and something that particularly on North Hobart Oval is really important to gain territory,” Gowans shared.
“Mon will bring a little bit around the stoppages and then we can also put her up forward.” ...
Ham is joined by experience midfielder Hayley Bullas and lightning quick forward Montana Beruldsen. They are expected to replace Laura Gardiner who has been ruled out for an “extended” period due to a hand injury.
In: Montana Ham, Hayley Bullas, Montana Beruldsen
Out: Laura Gardiner (Injured), Lara Hausegger (Omitted), Sarah Grunden (Managed)

My main hope for this game was that we’d manage to kick a goal. At least that’s been ticked off. Great to see a forward decisively lead and a team mate kick to the lead.

And Ham kicks our first goal!

Crucial touches by Hurley early. She is going to be important today without Gardiner.

We can't be giving away frees in the centre. That's 2 goals they've scored now after a free in the middle.

Great start. Julies Elbow looks cooked tbh.

Think the two way running of the experienced mids from North will do us in eventually against the inexperienced Swans mid but a good start. Look what happens when you play on-ballers on ball and non-wingers not on the wing

Although we're two goals down, I think that's the best quarter we have played all year. Some good contested work with Gisele doing well in the ruck. Hurley showing her full bag of skills, Kennedy her hardness and Ham and Lexie presenting in F50. Overall, ball movement and run against the ladder leaders has been good. Just need to tidy up our defence.

Can’t really fault the start. Probably would like the backs to one grab the ball and need to hold their tackles. Girls have been putting their bodies on the line.

Challenge is when our mids start to drop off, would be really handy to have Ham do a stint in the middle but I think that take all the danger away from the forward line.

Those 2 late goals weren't ideal. North's ball movement is impressive.

It's a long way to go but I've been pleasantly surprised so far. I was really worried for today's game especially with our injuries.

Been really disappointed in McEvoy this season. Consistently putting her fellow defenders under pressure with basic errors and taking poor options. Expect so much more from her.
