Didn't Jobe's career take off after he shed some kilo's and imporved his endurance? You still have to get to a contest before you can win the ball.
Jack will never be an endurance runner. His job is to win the footy in close and feed it out to guys who can run all day.
But he has a much better kick than Cunners or Swallow - whilst im not suggesting he turn into an outside player, i think he is more valuable getting into goal scoring positions or kicking it inside 50. And building up his fitness will allow him to do this more than he does at present.
He's a midfielder, he has to run. He will never be a top-shelf mid if his endurance is sub-par.

Jack will be an endurance runner...He just won't be ridiculously quick. His and Cunnington's endurance has improved out of sight in the past 2 years.
A 2km run is not a good indication of true endurance which is required to play midfield at AFL level. Building a tank is all about hard work. This is only Ziebell's and Cunner's 2nd full pre-season. We will see the fruits of their labour after another 1-2 in my opinion.
Was tough to spot most of them out there.
I am talking more Sam Gibson style.
He is an animal when it comes to running.
Agree. In all likelihood will never get to that level. Greenwood and Bastinac will however.

I've seen Boomer out run just about everyone in the AFL in final quaters with repeat sprint efforts. Somehow I don't think his endurance isnt too bad. That young Brent Harvey has never set a decent time trial in all the time he's been with the club. Get. Rid. Of.

I am not sure 2km time trial would be a great indicator about your ability to run out a final quarter.I've seen Boomer out run just about everyone in the AFL in final quaters with repeat sprint efforts. Somehow I don't think his endurance isnt too bad.
What if you have to run for 2km continuously in the final quarter? At the same pace? And in a straight line?I am not sure 2km time trial would be a great indicator about your ability to run out a final quarter.

You'd be a be an idiot.
Now, now.Only Hansen might try to do that.
