aflw awards in a few hours

should have 3 all aus in garner, ash and alice

and then the league mvp should be close between marinoff and ash and garner

I wouldn’t do this. Saturday is about our AFLW team, and not the AFLM team.

We wouldn’t do the reverse if it was our AFLM team playing in a GF (hopefully in my lifetime!).
i'd have no issue doing this in the reverse situation and could see it happen

one club

They are one club, but the focus should be on this team.

BYW, I was watching them play on Saturday, and thinking they play like a Denis Pagan team - Crocker obviously picked up few things along the way.

Actually can’t believe how little they look. They don’t appear small when matched against the other girls but that pic has blown me away.
They're tiny. People like Emma King look like giants out there. Then you stand next to them and realise it's not the case at all.

Family x4 are in! Wife is due to give birth next week to our 3rd. We wouldn’t miss it if baby decides to hold off until after the GF!
Good luck with the birth of Jasmine Emma Ash Tahlia Jenna Sarah Taylah Ruby Bella Alice Vicki Nicole Kim Erika Tess Libby Mia Amy Kate.

what in the ever loving f*** is an umpiring rising star?

I understand it might seem a little bizarre but I actually don't mind it. Umpiring is hard enough to incentivise people to do, it's a hard job, and probably even harder to get people to do in women's footy. If they want to recognize young people for their contributions to women's footy even at the umpiring level, fair play to them I reckon

I’d love to see it come with both recognition and some additional rewards like overseas professional development and so on. Have to grow the game as a whole, and rewarding growth and excellence is a no brainer.

Agreed.

I'd expect the men to be at the game because they want to be there to support the women and the club (there's been a decent representation at other games so it goes without saying that plenty of the men will be present on the weekend).
