Don't know that Jassie deserves the media about tomorrow night's award. She should have won in 23 and 22, but not this year. She had a great year, but only a good year by her standards. I like the focus on the GF, and we all know why she isn't winning - too many outstanding NMFC players sharing the votes.

Agree, Jas should have won it last year or the year before, Ash has got too good now. Assuming even though we didn’t lose a game no one North player will get enough to win, I would like to see the winner be Marinoff or someone like that who hasn’t got the votes she deserves in the past. Not a Lion or an umpires pet (tautology alert).

Tbf, Jas’ good year is still better than everyone’s great year. Victim of her own lofty standards.

IMO, Ferguson is better suited to Dakota. I'd be surprised if that wasn't the initial match up.

Was the game on channel 7 yesterday? I was going to watch the replay but 7+ doesn’t have it, only the night game.

I watched it on the Foxtel Go app over here in Portlaoise at 4 AM. My sons were messaging me from Ikon Park the whole time. I almost got the full experience, even though I couldn’t make it to Ikon in person.

Last year, Jas and Ash were kept relatively quiet, and with Jenna out early, much was left up to Mia to shoulder the midfield battle. We will go in with more weapons this time. And I feel confident that this alone will help Jas and Ash break the chains.

Karma has to be on our side this time, surely. The sight of Jenna explosively running the Lions player down in the first minute and, then, collapsing in a heap was the deciding factor.

After the final siren the abc commentators were discussing whether this is the best AFLW team ever assembled. Comparisons drawn to Adelaide 2019.

You have to have an AFLW membership code. It's not the same as the membership code used during the men's season.

Could be a good one over time - great finals game recently and the clubs came in at the same time with different strategies.

Yeh one employed the strategy of getting standard expansion club draft concessions with no weighting against how they did their list build. It was the genius of Stephen Wells.

The other decided on a strategy of not having a start-up draft hand because their list build was deemed too strong without actually playing a game.

Marinoff has scored 4 Goals this season, while Garner has 14. In reality, that should be game, set and match to Garner. She is competitive with Ebony in all other facets.

Jas doesn’t get enough, everyone who isn’t an umpire can agree, but this season with Hatchard down on form is Marinoff’s best shot.
