It really looks like there is a deliberate decision by umpires or their masters to pay minimal free kicks. They ball up in many situations when a free might have been paid. Frees are often only paid for the most blatant violations.

Its like theres a different set of rules between women's and mens ? The number of incorrect disposal, dragging the ball in and holding the ball that are paid is quite extraordinary and relly frustrating when watching all the games. Where do the umpires come from ? Local leagues.

At a guess it might be that they want the game to flow as much as possible and not become a stoppage/tackle fest. So they ignore a lot of stuff that might otherwise get called by the umpires.

Usually the broadcasters will show replays of close calls. The team appeared to celebrate that score that was deemed to have hit the post. It may well have, and the ump was probably correct but it would have been nice to see it replayed.
