Do they have the same list?
No Gowans has a much better list because he was able to bring every good North Melbourne player to Sydney due to the fact that they were all supremely loyal to him and disagreed vehemently with the reasons for his departure from Arden St. Or so you were whining incessantly at the time.

Free kick Conti.lol
Genuine question... In addition to Conti getting a statistic for "Free Kicks For", does she also get a stat in the "Free Kicks Against" column for that last one?

She appeared to trip herself and stumble, so I think one in each column would be right.

Gee that commentator was driving me insane, he must have mentioned Richmond a thousand times plus, no matter what the scoreboard was saying.

Another great game from Ruby T, loved O'Shea's late tackle.

Why late in the game did the clock keep getting stopped randomly at breaks in play ?
They really skewed perception of the game. Richmond played well and still it wasn't even particularly close after the rain let up. They managed to kick the first goal during the part of the game where it was next to impossible to score, but apart from that it was just a scrappy mess for most of the first half. After that they looked way off it. I don't know why these commentators need the narrative of every single game to be about these scrappy up-and-comers knocking the establishment team North off their high pedestal, when it's really us who are the scrappy up-and-comers challenging the establishment. We're the only non-foundation club that's even managed to make a Grand Final and we still haven't won a flag. Why are they already sick of us and looking for the next thing?

Crows just lost to Brisbane, handy.
I would have rather crows win tbh

Would’ve pretty much locked in a top 2 spot regardless of our crows game

Now we can’t afford to lose the crows game or risk 3rd and an away qualifying final

Also now Brisbane are likely going to be top 2 and would’ve been better if they had an away final first up

Aim high Nostra, top spot = home GF.

True but I’d rather us and crows top 2

Not lions who will likely play home first up

And even if crows won today we could’ve played off for top spot when we played them so this result does nothing positive for us

Chess not checkers

They were robbed.

Prove that I said all the players would leave North to follow Gowans.

Find the post dickhead and whilst you’re at it, don’t be a gutless campaigner and tell us what you used to post under.

Gowans was sacked by the same arseholes that thought Rhyce Shaw could coach and that Noble could coach.

He was treated poorly and so were the women’s team when we didn’t even interview coaches for the position. It wasn’t fair on them and it probably isn’t fair on Crocks either.

The club likes to say it supports the only gender that seems capable of winning games but it doesn’t.

We got screwed draft wise, we get screwed with the draw, we get screwed with the umpires, and Jas gets screwed by the votes, she should be a 3 time league B and F winner but do you hear anyone from the club saying anything?

“Hey North we are finally giving you a home game against the Demons but it will be played at Port Melbourne and then we will move it to the G, and you’ll have to play at Casey every year before and after that.”

“Yeah no worries, don’t worry about the lube this time”

Let’s not forget the oh your a retiring player, go and be an assistant for women’s team for a few weeks and then piss off to an opposition club to work with the blokes.

At least Wrighty and Hrovat stuck around for a bit, Jack and Hugh can bugger off.

Fixture opens up for us nicely from here, save the Adelaide game.
Unfortunately it opens up even better for the lions

We can’t afford to lose that crows game or we may end up 3rd or at best 2nd

and now our best case scenario is likely us and lions top 2 as opposed to us and crows which is not ideal

Despite getting "screwed" with the draft, "screwed" with the draw and "screwed by the umpires", we are the undefeated undisputed premiership favourites and the best team in the competition.

Despite being "screwed" in the draft we have managed to develop players like Gatt, Bres, Ruby Tripodi, Mia King, AoL, Eddey, et al, into genuine guns.

Given a choice I am literally certain Jas (or Ash or Mia or Jenna or any of our other top line players) would choose for the team to be where they are as opposed to winning a league B&F and losing to Melbourne or Brisbane or Adelaide in prelims every year

It's amazing how clean her ball-handling is for someone so new to the game. Really stepped up in the absence of Kearney.
She is Irish, they probably play in similar conditions to today.

Yeah that’s the attitude to have, we’re good so don’t rock the boat.

It’s ****ing gutless!

Wright needs to lift - she puts her fellow defenders under more pressure with her **** ups.
Shannon is waiting in the wings.

No nostra - I don’t need you to lay the boots in

Bresnehan was puss for weeks and that douche didn’t even have the moral courage to criticise her.

Still thinks Craven isn’t best 22 either. Seriously?

While not the prettiest game at times we rose to the challenge that the Tigers threw at us and got the job done. Jassy and Ash great again. Bella and Alyce were awesome again too. Our role players did their jobs too. Onto next week.
Getting the W in these kinds of games is the sign of a good team.

Does anyone else hear a high pitched whiny sound or do I need to get an MRI?

Every club would have a series of grievances like this. You're taking for granted the immense amount of work that has gone into getting the club as competitive as it is now. Our position in the league is exceptional, even though we haven't won the flag yet (give it a couple of months) we're the only expansion club that has made a grand final. We have yet to even lose a game to an expansion club, including Geelong who entered at the same time as us. This is largely thanks to extracting the maximum benefit from the Tasmania arrangement as well as laying the groundwork with MUGARS for years before the league was formed, but other clubs had a head start on us and have fallen dramatically behind.

I'm not going to speak to the process to appoint Crocker because you and I don't really know anything about how that was conducted behind closed doors. I think most clubs would probably jump at the chance to appoint someone with over 20 years of experience in assistant coaching at AFL level, who'd done a great job as an interim head coach on multiple occasions. The resumes of most coaches in this league pale in comparison.

When he took over, even with all of that groundwork laid we were still clearly behind the really strong foundation clubs. Maybe we would've won the flag in the cancelled season, who knows, personally I doubt it, we just squeaked past Collingwood in that final and Freo would've been a massive obstacle. In Crocker's first season we fell pretty short, but he's significantly reshaped the list and gameplan since then. It's built around players who were already there but we wouldn't be competing like this without Shierlaw, O'Loughlin, Eddey, Martin, Wall, Gatt, Craven, O'Shea, Tripodi, Rennie, Ferguson and Birch who we've added during his tenure. Kearney's move to the backline and Randall's move forward (as much as you hate that one) were also great uses of personnel that have made us more competitive and better at implementing his gameplan.

I don't think we should be taking all of that for granted, we'd be the envy of a lot of clubs right now. It's hard to get to a strong position and it's almost as hard to stay there. I think at this stage it's hard to say appointing Crocker was a mistake.

And sorry, but most of your complaints are a load of nonsense. Fixturing is completely out of our hands and it turns out all we needed to do to overcome the massive Casey Fields disadvantage was get better so we could win down there. With the way we flogged Melbourne, I hope we get to go there next year. We have no idea what the club is saying to the league behind closed doors, which is by design. Crocker already does vent certain things in public, like when he complained about the stupid 5pm start last Friday, but he's smart enough not to overstep the line and cause a genuine controversy about it. B&F votes are even more out of our hands than the fixture, and EVERYONE has complained publicly from inside and outside our club about the snubbing of Jasmine Garner. Are they supposed to direct the umpires to vote differently? What do you expect the club to do about that? And the assistant coach stuff, I'm sorry but how is it the club's fault if we give a guy a job, then they get a more lucrative offer from another club's AFL program and bail on it? There's no club in the league that could do anything to prevent that, if we wanted any club's AFLW assistants for our Men's program we would have them in an instant, because it's a way better job.
