I can't remember the last time I've seen so many of them say nice things about one of our players.
Let alone one that were all ripping to shreds two days ago.

Pre-listing players who have already been to multiple drafts is not at all the same. I am astounded you would even attempt to make the comparison.

All I ask is that the AFL don't do a shonky around McKay.

If a club is willing to pay him $800k, then of course North should get pick 2, and the club signing McKay should be audited, as no one could possibly have so much money they're willing to pay McKay $250k more than he's worth.

And yet when Adelaide tried to ensure Brad Crouch free agency compensation would be tier one that was denied by the AFL.

Crouch was supposedly a four year 700k deal. I am happy that isn't band 1, assuming that number is true. Not sure why Adelaide didn't match.

Adelaide were going to take Luke Dunstans contract (as Geelong got approved) to ensure Saints upped the value to tier 1.
The AFL denied it.

Blatant Victorian corruption and it continues with Ben McKay getting North pick 2.

Letting them jiggle the figures with Dunstan to artificially raise the compo would indeed have been corruption. I am happy the AFL banned it.

If North try anything similar I hope the AFL are just as forthright.

North Melbourne saying it would take Band 1 compensation to exceed our offer shows you the starting point. It means we are offering somewhere in the high $600s to low $700k range.
