Oh well, anything would be better than robo-roo...

The best part of this logo was the 2007/08 clash jumper which was mint

I'm pretty sure that 'North' logo is from a University or High School in the US.

close but not exactly the same

Saw this one coming from 2014. The fixture guide that year had them in the blue and every other club in their home kits.
Hah yeh, I'm sure it had absolutely nothing to do with marketing the clash strip at the time.

Was looking at the NORTH Melbourne website because of the new logo and came across this on the shop.

The blue with white stripes is called the home jumper and the white with blue stripes is called the away jumper. So from next season going forward the NORTH Melbourne home jumper will be the blue with white stripes.

You're late.

And what's with the emphasis on "North"?

Oh shit. In other news, the sun came up this morning.

Pettiness from both camps probably to blame. The AFL really needs to reconsider the white shorts policy for light teams. There really aren't many teams that the white/blue combination clashes against. The Bulldogs and WC's away might be all. But, are shorts really more important than the jumper?
North reckons they are.

Never mind the the four flaga they won in their now away jumper, pretty sure at least one of them was in white shorts!!

Even then, we could wear royal/white against North's white/royal and it wouldn't clash. The Bulldogs could do the same.

It doesn't clash but it looks ridiculously stupid.

People are pretty happy carrying on the narrative that North took up the blue jumper because they can't wear blue shorts at home often enough.

Maybe that's just a coincidence? Collingwood basically did it for image and profit, and I can't see why, 15 years later, the Kangas wouldn't either.

Clubs always want the edge and for someone wanting to flog merch, inverting your stripes is something most fans won't really completely notice. Most people will realise the jumper looks different but they'll still see as 'blue and white stripes,' so it's not going to fundamentally rot at what supporters see their club as.

I honestly think the Kangaroos would have entertained this idea regardless of what shorts the commission stipulated for 2016. After all, surely most clubs would realise how flimsy the AFL are – if North stuck it out for two years, there's a decent chance they would've been able to wear the white-then-blue every weekend where they were listed first.
