North.. On the wrong track?

Obviously you're a fake-North supporter troll.

Collingwood deserved to win, we made some terrible errors - both skills and decisions. To be within a few kicks shows that we're not as terrible as some trolls make us out to be. The Pies had some best 22 players out but so did we. Pendlebury killed us, I hope he doesn't turn into another Buddha Hocking against us. Good luck to the Pies this year, they'll be there abouts again.
Have to laugh at Bucks though, a "pretty average" act "off the ball" and the MRP say no case to answer.
Haha whatever makes you feel better champ.

They, us, em. What are you 12?
Terrible loss and another wasted year. But you computer geeks can't see it that way.

I was actually referring to the sponsor board thing just as much. Did not need to do that and you have it admit it was not his best moment.

What sponsor board thing?

Lost by 2 goals to a very good team despite playing pretty ordinary footy.

2 years ago they would have done us by 90+ if we'd put in that effort.

Not exactly time for panic stations yet.

Hey Spork. No one cares.

Good though to find some balanced and reasoned posts from Collingwood and Richmond supporters.
Our kicking as pathetic yesterday and cost us the win. Swan Pendlebury Cloke and Sidebottom took this side to a flag and they may do that again. Class.

Most of us are you know;) .

Remember last year when we lost to Port and the Dogs and were going to finish bottom 4?

gogriff ... you may remember that.

They made errors at selection.

Watching how dominant those North players were at Werribee on the Saturday was the pointer to that.

Look at how well Hansen and Tarrant didn't stand up with petrie being beaten. They could have easily played Daw and Currie, which would have helped Goldstein out in the ruck and provided troublesome forward targets for the under-sized Pies defence to match-up on.

Goldstein didn't need help in the ruck and Daw/Currie would have got nowhere with the delivery our mids were giving our forwards. 95% of our i50's were going at their feet or over their heads.

North's biggest issue is they lack the outside spread that the top sides need.

In the game against WC, they won the clearances quite easily but they got murdered on the spread / outside run.

It was the same against Collingwood, won the clearances but Swan & Pendlebury absolutely tore them apart on the transition.

Scott is very much a Malthouse clone, he gets very stubborn in his coaching. Letting 2 Top league wide midfielders run virtually unchecked is a sign of this stubbornness.
Zero clue.

they'll be fired up against Geelong next week, Petrie will certainly turn it around while Ziebell, Adams and Firrito played very poorly.

Harvey's overall value is getting tested though, provides much more than his usual brilliance and his loss has added just a little more pressure to Swallow, Adams, Wells.

So they are nothing like Collingwood because they dont spread like they should but they are just like Collingwood because their coach is a Malthouse clone?

Make your mind up sunshine!!

Geez...a very good team missing 8 first teamers and losing two during the game.

This is correct. Its why I want to see Harper and Atley ejected into the midfield because they have the slick skills and the line breaking speed we crave. Unfortunately even though they were playing in different positions, they were dreadful agienst Collingwood. Couldn't find the ball at all and the few times they did, Ats torched it.

Pies did not play well except for the 3rd quarter. You belted us in the 4th quarter.

First 2 quarters were a shootout but the way you were winning the clearances I thought we would be 4 goals down by half time.

Both teams were not peaking but pies have players to come back in to combat the poor centre clearance work. the fact north lost despite smashing the pies in clearances must be a concern.

Absolutely. Hence the comments by Scott (and most fans) about our turnovers (both unforced and under pressure) and poor delivery into the F50.

If we keep "using" the ball like that I'll get worried.

But if we keep winning the clearances and use rthe ball better, we'll be fine.

Good win by your boys.
