Cripps didn't play and as crazy as this may sound, some of the boys weren't terrible as much as we were simply outplayed.

Nothing to read into this game or take out of it. Best just binned and move on.
Fair enough. Next week Cripps will be back. Hopefully Carrots will be fit. Maybe Ellard. Could be a different team on the park.

There were just as many misses by Werribee but yes, the ratio is certainly out of whack.

Wood was actually one of our best mids on the weekend as he often got possession of his own ruck-work.
One strange game by the NB's as in general play I would have said a 5 - 6 goal loss. Certainly not 17 goals.

Werribee just had one of those nights where admittedly they worked hard but everything seemed to fall their way and every mistake our players made seemed to result in a goal.

The team worked very hard and you can't knock many players for not having had a dip.
We had a tiny forward line, an undermanned back-line and the mids really weren't very good at all.

Not a lot there to be surprised about considering we lost 5 mids from a winning team. Not sure that any club would ever have had to do that so it doesn't come as a shock to read that the NB mids weren't good at all.

The positive for me is that we have more depth there than many experts are willing to concede.

Absence of Carlton listed players. Seniors had injured players and we plucked the best depth players out while Cripps etc were rested. Knew we would lose, good for the young'uns to experience a loss anyway, another learning opportunity :)
