In: Walker Armfield Robinson
Out: Johnson(****en sh*t **** ) Scotland Hartlett/Fisher

Edited for accuracy

Couldn't get a game for Melbourne last year - now all Carlton fans know why!

Can't beat his man as a defender and has the sh*ttest skills for a supposedly good kick.

Hack of the highest order when the heat gets turned up...

Surprised there are people/peanuts still attacking Yarran.... I'm not sure what he could have done last night.

He wouldn't be used to that sort of footy. He'll be fine though.

Garlett is sounding like a nice pickup as well. Might take a year or two to get there, but he is actually very talented as well from what we've seen.
Having both in at the same time would be the dream, but probably isn't going to happen for a while yet. Likely to be a rotational system for a year or so perhaps.

I think if we are going to play Robinson then we should play him on the ball. His only real deficiency is his pace and that gets exposed when we try and play him as a HFF. He plays well in the twos on the ball. If they think his only place in the ones is half forward then they shouldn't pick him.

Stevens played well I thought. Will be back next week for sure. Cloke is a temptation I'm sure - particularly with North and the Cats in the next two weeks looking with undersized/injured backlines. Sounds like Setanta is not back next week so Cloke is the only option to replace Fisher.

I thought Pfeiffer looked really good today. Walker's kicking is not good enough and he is refusing to mark so I'd say another one in the twos for him. His run and hands as good as ever. But given the kicking in the ones I think they will want to see him using the ball a bit better before bringing him in.

I forgot Michelle was even still around :p

I haven't seen much of him, from memory his disposal wasn't great, neither his pace.

So what's his strength? Good footy brain?

Reading through these reports, i'm really pleased that quite a few Carlton players that would be pushing for senior selection actually put their hands up today. Given the performance last night, you would expect a few changes to be made.

After reading the reports, perhaps something like this:

In: Jamison, Walker, Cloke, Garlett

Out: Hartlett, Bentley, Fisher, Houlihan

As were Jamison, Waite, Hampson, Austin, Houlihan, Yarran and Betts.

The talls with the talls...

And the smalls were with the smalls...

Houlihan was there with friends...

I walked past to hear Eddie chip Houlihan about having three windcheaters on because it was so cold.

Yarran laughed...

Houla didn't find it funny...
I forgot to add that Yarran looked home sick and unhappy.

One of you guys calling for Stevo to return
Please explain what he is looking at in the above!
Working hard away from the ball my ass. Does not even know where it is!

One of the Essendon officials told me that all the carlton coaches were there so there should be a fair few deserved changes this week. My feet are still firmly on the Robbo bandwagon and we need to have him in the team ASAP. good to see army back up and firing :thumbsu:

pictures!

army has the strangest mo i've ever seen.

plenty more photos if anyone would like me to post.

=)

Any of walker and stevens?

was a good day today.... the boys done well.

Ins for next week.... Cloke, Robbo (are a must)
outs..... take your pick....

at the game today I had Army's dad sitting in front of me.... he is a nice bloke & Army is the spit out of his fathers mouth (for those young'uns who don't know old fashioned sayings.....ask your mum or dad what it means....lol)
Actually one of dennis's fathers mates said to him that Dennis looked like a pr0n star.... that made me lol..... I said to his father that maybe he should be off cleaning swimming pools then.....& he just laughed

Most of the boys played with determination, spirit & heart... which is something that some of the senior players could learn to do.

Not too sure about Warnock though. I was sitting in front of the rooms where the players come out from (the players had to walk off the ground & up the steps like walking up into the grandstand & passed me to get to the rooms) & Robbie walked past with his boots & socks off & a lot of people who work for the club around me were commenting that he did not look happy at all. So whether it is in re: to the troublesome foot or not who knows as nothing was mentioned..... but keep ears & eyes open for further reports from the club or whatever. I am not saying that he re injured his foot but it could be a possibility...... He really did not look happy though

Over all..... it was a good day & good win by the Ants :thumbsu:

Pretty unfair on Stevo, I've been one of his critics over the last few weeks, but his output today was much better, he had a handful of clearances and was influential in the teams forward thrust, would've thought he was clearly in the best 5 players today. He also looks much fitter.

You are braver than me giving Army's dad lip about his son. Hard man!

Riemers and Knights kept staring at my mate and I, wanted to give them a couple of kind words at the time..
What the hell stopped you? Half the world would have given you a medal for decking those 2 and the other half would have kicked them when they went down

it was said in jest Guns.....he knew I was joking ....lol
was that statement that I have bolded addressed to me????
I aint no man....... I am a woman!!!!! lmao
:D:D:D:p:p:p
He sometimes does not have sense of humour and has been known to forget his manners

Was a good win by the Ants today.

Was impressed by Walker he managed to provide some good run through the middle and found a fair bit of the ball, but looks like he still needs to get some confidence back into his shoulder,he seemed to hang off packs and avoid getting hit.Id expect him to spend another week in the Ants.

Stevens was average for the first 3 quaters but had a good last quater winning a fair bit out of the middle.I noticed Ratts having a chat with him a quater time..seemed to be giving him a lot of support.

Had a close look at Warnock and the guy is huge..seems to have bulked up a fair bit, he didnt spend much time on the ground and only played 3 quaters and obvisouly they are easing him into things, but from what i saw he seems pretty mobile for such a big guy.Seemed to struggle for fitness so id expect him to spend a few weeks in the Ants.

Robinson was very good today and other players that caught my attention were Army,Hadley,Gartlett,Cloke and Phiefer.:thumbsu:

Great to hear that Cloke, Walker and Robbo had good games.

Bringing Cloke in means we can rotate him and Kreuz through the ruck and forward line which gives us other options up forward. I was surprised we didn't bring Cloke in last night ahead of Harts. We could have really exploited them in the ruck and up forward but considering as a team we were woeful, nothing would have changed last nights result

In - Jamison, Walker, Cloke, Robinson
Out - Hartlett, Fisher, Bentley, Johnson

Yarran is gone for the year?

Peanut.

I am more than happy to say he is not yet ready for AFL. Please point to his afl or vfl form and tell me why he deserves a game?

I am not saying he will not be a star one day but at the moment he is along way away from being a good AFL player. He lacks confidence, hangs out on the fringes etc...
